Jason MarkinsonAvery/Brendan Dassey are INNOCENTIt’s pretty odd that so many of the same people try to throw nonsense at the wall to get others to believe them. Laura & Moira are 2 very credible & ethical individuals that did an excellent job of laying out the pieces that they had to work with and left it to the viewers to come up with their own conclusions. They are not responsible for the things that happened the way they did & all of the corruption that was happening throughout Manitowoc Co. that started with Avery’s first wrongful arrest/conviction in 1985. FACTS proved he was innocent then, and the way in which the 2005 case was handled and is STILL being handled to this very day, make it very obvious that the State has a hard-on for Steven & they didn’t care how far they had to take it, in order to keep him behind bars. Even if that meant involving his 16yr old mentally challenged nephew. This case is extremely sad & a tragedy, nonetheless. Regardless of what you believe happened. At the end of the day, a family lost a Daughter, a cousin, a friend, etc. and another family lost their son(s), Brothers, etc, and all over what?! Who knows! BUT, I will end it with this- “The Truth Will Always Prevail” I’m confident that Mrs. Zellner & her legal team (Steven Avery’s representation) , along with Laura Nirider, Steve Drizin, and the Northwestern University Innocence Project (Brendan’s legal counsel) WILL continue to work & uncover the truth that has been suppressed by the individuals employed by the State of Wisconsin, and will eventually bring Justice to the forefront, for Ms. Halbach, and for Steven/Brendan. & punish those that played a role in convicting 2 innocent men (1 of whom was a mentally disabled CHILD with an IQ & reading level of a 5th grader, at the time of his arrest/conviction) We MUST do better as a society!

CocobrfeffersDisappointing. The show’s producers didn’t care about facts, they only wanted to tell a “good story” & to do so, they ignored all the evidence that proves Avery is GUILTY. Don’t be fooled by the way the “documentary” manipulates evidence.

JayJayJayWallFacts, Please!I was raised in Manitowoc. By pure chance, at the time of Halbach’s murder, she lived just down the road... I followed her disappearance, Avery’s arrest, trial and conviction. I personally know Avery’s family, Halbach’s family, many of the police on the case and Josh Radandt. While the producers of this documentary give the appearance of unbiased reporting, they have spun their view undeniably to a pre-determined farce. Nice try. Steven Avery killed Halbach, the facts don’t lie - but this podcast certainly does.

vicki5664Good showI watch the series over a couple days. I have a background in Criminal justice and was shocked to her all the blunders that happen to this man. Police do lie , they also plant evidence and other things that are shocking. The majority of police officers are friendly , kind and above reproach . But really people ? They had a big ole chip on their shoulder for this guy. His Nefew was easily swayed. And there is so much evidence that in a high percentage of people will confess to terrible crimes that they didn't commit. The overall evidence in this case was for a not Guilty verdict . There was reasonable doubt. There were conflicts of interest on many levels . Whether you like it or not this could happen to anyone. If your a little different or poor this happens more than we know. This more than anything proves our judicial system is broken.

John C HeffleyGreat peak behind the curtain. It's a treat to have access to the filmmakers behind this beautiful docuseries. Whether or not you agree with their position that the boys are innocent the series itself is true art and it's nice to go behind the scenes.
