AntenbunnyLove you guysI would love for you guys to talk to Dr. Stracks or Dr. Schubner about chronic pain and the mind body connection. It’s amazing and it’s rooted in science. Also, look at Curable, a program you can go through if you have chronic pain. You’ll love it! It’s amazing, I’ve been doing it a while now and am now recovering from 30 years of chronic pain, slowly but surely. I got off pain medication I was taking for years. Please try to get someone from one of those 3 places. People need to know about this!

-_Jax_-Normalizing for Someone Living w/ a Chronic IllnessI live with chronic illnesses. The chronic illness/disability podcasts I’ve found typically have a more serious tone. That consistent tone across media reinforces shame and the “othering” I have subconsciously soaked up from an ableist culture. This podcast leaves all that subconsciously-negative out. Because these thoughtful, warm, funny men crack jokes about the unglamorous reality of living with disability so casually, the diagnoses they explore feel normal! Instead of this heavy, awkward thing that hangs over someone’s head, it just makes the disability, chronic illness, etc an interesting *part* of who they are. Thanks for the laughs expanding my paradigm about my own body and resulting life. I’m deeply grateful for this podcast.

Kentucky Girl35WishI live in America. I wish we had a podcast like this. If we do, I haven’t found it yet. I like how illness is brought to the forefront. Keep it up y’all!!!

NIKI HHBest podcastThis podcast is so interesting and funny and the only thing that gets me through school😭

Sarah SorbelScience of Endometriosis episodeThis episode is concerning, and I think the info she presented is outdated and sets the endo community back. Removing ovaries does not stop endo symptoms, menopause does not definitively end symptoms, prioritizing hormonal therapy over expert surgery (excision, not the standard laparoscopy) is dangerous and can cause the disease to progress and be harder and harder to treat. Excision surgery performed by an excision specialist needs to be the standard of care. Please consider to talking to one of the top experts that are pioneering treatment in this field such as Dr. David Redwine, Dr. Ken Sinervo, Dr. Andrew Cook, or Dr. Cameron Nezhat.

Sascha4realFunny and factualIf you want to have a good time while at the same time reducing your ignorance this is the podcast. I literally l laugh out loud every episode
-
Yerba MatePlease listenI have listened since the beginning, but it seems like at times you aren’t listening. You were listening to somebody telling a tragedy and then it’s yes but let me tell you about me! It is better than it used to be but I’m not gonna give it a very long fuse. Maybe take some time at the beginning to address the fact that you all have your own issues or injuries or diseases, and then focus on your guest. Do you have improved a lot on this issue and I want to credit you for that, but there are still some during interruptions. You could just say I can relate and let them get on with the story
-
SavRewilderPlease Let the Guests Speak!I like the content and the variety of illnesses represented on the show, but the hosts interrupt the guests way too much, and it detracts from the quality and storytelling. Please, Sickboys, let the guests speak without interrupting them consistently!
-
AlandbfbdhahabajjdT1DThis episode is not at all relatable, it also doesn’t reflect the struggles that people with t1d go through on a daily basis. Please try & have other perspectives on the show. This podcast makes diabetes sound “easy” which ignores our everyday battle to keep our bodies from destroying themselves from the inside out.

mintchocolatechip-fun, casual, sometimes serious insight into illnessesI’m about twenty episodes in and I’m really enjoying the podcast. Brian, Jeremy, and Taylor all add a little bit of humor and fun into every episode. It’s great learning about illnesses I knew nothing about while also getting a chance to hear every guests’ perspective on their illness. I do agree, the hosts have a little habit of interrupting the guest to make too many jokes which can get a little frustrating sometimes, especially when you can sometimes tell the guest just wants to tell their story, but overall a great podcast.

mikaelalynnannReal Conversations with a LaughAbsolutely love love love the Sick Boy Podcast! I stumbled upon it on accident and now I can’t stop listening to it. So glad to cure my morbid curiosity about how people live with these illnesses or life issues (especially since I have issues of my own) while also laughing to the raw and pure conversations between the hosts and guests. Thoroughly enjoy and have highly recommended this podcast many many times! 💚

Grew223342Love itLearning so much not just about diseases and conditions but also and LIFE!!!! Love you boys!!
-
chey.tsGreat podcast!Very interesting topics. Not too many ads (at least on the older episodes). Y’all should do an episode on IBS-D...unless I missed it, I don’t think it’s been touched on. I can be your guest!
-
The apple storeGreat PodcastThese guys are doing a great thing, interviewing people with different diseases. It is truly eye-opening and I hope that they don’t stop. There is so much stigma, misinformation, and ignorance surrounding many diseases/illnesses, especially around mental illness. Thank you to these hosts who are shedding light on something that is not often talked about this openly.
-
KT257357fabulous showeducational and funny. feels like i'm friends with the hosts. listened since 2015, they never fail to impress.
-
NikoOmeFirst time reviewer and long time listener!!I am a Chinese student and I’m 20 y.o. man child. I really like these guys. They are fun and sometimes rowdy, can’t get enough of their jokes about Taylor’s red penises. I like Brian the best because he’s the nice one and he’s the hot one too. What more can you ask for in a man? besides a large penis
-
70 yr. old and white!Super Heroes in DragAs a 72 yr. old woman with disabling arthritis, these guys Get me. They speak my language—hilarious compassion for the absurdity of it all. They remember to laugh in the face of all the indignities these bodies bring and they have been keeping me sane for years now. They say awful things about old people too! Lol Just like me, and trust me, just like you.
-
sweetie louPricelessI don’t think I’ve ever gotten such real nitty gritty perspectives on so many medical issues. I listened to several different episodes before I had a serious procedure and learned valuable things about stuff that’s not in the medical literature. Do you eat after you have surgery? How do you feel after anesthesia? Even: Does an abortion hurt? Questions you want to ask your friends after their own experiences but are too polite.
-
KM368Love this podcastThis podcast has helped me so much in dealing with multiple recently diagnosed chronic health conditions. I love that the hosts address serious issues but still make every episode funny and entertaining. I look forward to new episodes every week!
-
akwheelsThank youI love listening to episodes that I can relate to and learn from. I love you all! Please keep it going.
-
madskillz01Love it but....I love the concept of this podcast but I feel the hosts should respect their guests more and learn to not to interrupt
-
leslie sarahifav podcastthis is my actual favorite podcast! The guys are super funny and I love listening to the guest! Could actually listen for hours!
-
chroniclly_mandyBest podcast I have ever come acrossWow thank you so much for touching on everything under the sun when it comes to being sick. I have multiple auto immune diseases (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic hives) and this podcast helps me get though the rough days. Your attitudes and ability to bring light to this community is absolutely incredible. I love all the jokes and friendly conflict through the episodes! You guys make such terrible things so much lighter and easy to talk about! I love how much I learn during each episode and I feel like I have so much more compassion for others. You guys rock!

IVAR momEven with the f bombs, this is worthy!Just started listening to this/ so 300 episodes to go. The Audrey Parker- Medical Assistance In Dying was the third one I heard, and makes me wish my sister had lived in Canada. Her death would have been so much kinder, gentler, pain free, and the way she wanted it. Truly- ignore the f bombs and be amazed and humbled at the conversations these hosts draw out of their special guests. Everybody in the medical world - and human family- should make this a must- listen - and - reflect podcast.
-
RealisticOptimistAgree with other reviewsThey interrupt way too much, and, in my opinion, seem to make light of anything that isn’t CF. They’re good when they let the guests talk more but that’s a rare event.
-
phxrossSimply amazing podcastInformative, laid back, powerful, with a touch of humor. Nothing held back. They talk to real people about real experiences, learning a lot and in turn teaching the listener much about life, illness, perseverance, and perspective!
-
marinmaryWonderful podcastHonest and funny, we learn about unusual diseases from people who are living with them. Highly recommended unless you are squeamish about the human body and all the odd things folks live with daily.
-
EricasallyWish I found this podcast sooner!Sickboy is an amazing!! I love listening to Jeremie, Brian, and Taylor’s banter! I literally laugh out loud every time!!! ❤️❤️ The guests and their stories are incredible and inspiring, def changed my perspective!

YoUr-AddiCtioNMy favorite! The first episode I ever listened to was the Dead Baby Jokes Aside: Stillbirth episode. It caught my eye because I had a stillborn at 34 weeks. I didn’t know what to expect but couldn’t stop listening and have been binge listening ever since. Love this podcast. Love the hosts. The jokes aren’t meant to offend but rather ease our way through tough topics and I appreciate the laughs I get throughout the episodes. Will definitely continue to support the guys! Looking forward to more episodes 🤗

MadisonC123Love this podcast and these guysI listen to a lot (a lot) of podcasts and it takes a special one to make it feel like you’re in the room with the hosts! These three guys are honest, talk too much, have great humor, and pick amazing guests. Also makes me want to move to Canada. Thanks!

CynnamonPogSuch a great showThis show is informative, compassionate, and humorous. A truly worthwhile listen!
-
HSchurtzMy total faveI was introduced to Sickboy through a friend who lives is Nova Scotia when she listened to the Ehlers Danlos podcast and thought of me! I have EDS and live in Arkansas. It was so relatable and insightful to see how others live with the same thing I do. Now I cannot stop listening!
-
LindsyHFibromyalgia is a mouthfulHey there! Love the podcast. Hoping you’ll do one on Fibromyalgia or IBS soon, I can help you with either.
-
trislmbThe best!My youngest daughter was born with CF. We had an idea that she would be and she was diagnosed around 24 hours old. My little sister had been listening to this pod cast and recommended and said it was awesome. She wasn’t wrong. Although some episodes make me nervous, these guys have helped me and I love how they approach things with honesty and comedy. The way they interact with each other is great. It was also great to get Jeremy’s parents perspective. Keep up the good work guys!
-
jenhairstylistThis podcast has it all!A friend of mine recommended this podcast to me, and I love it. It’s funny, full of information, and they cover so many illnesses/conditions. It’s so relatable. Major plus: I love their humor!

HaufneichI can't believe anyone agrees to be on this showAlthough at the same time I am still listening to the show, I am often appalled at how these hosts treat their guests. I was motivated to write this review as I'm listening to the endometriosis episode. You may have already heard this input from other listeners, but yes Brian, it is insensitive to track women's periods. The main reason is that it lets you off the hook when a woman is genuinely annoyed at you. You can't be invalidating women's feelings like that. For example, I'm incredibly annoyed at you right now, and my period is irrelevant. If it's about when to be more compassionate, how about trying to be compassionate all month long? I will say, though, Brian, you do typically do an admirable job trying to re-center the interviews. If you'd like to have conversations to educate yourselves and gain insights from people living with illness, perhaps that's something you'd be better off doing privately. Conversations with that particular tenor are not especially educational for listeners. This can't be the first time or even the hundredth time you've been advised not to interrupt guests and to avoid making the interviews about yourselves. But I am happy to be the 101st. I have every faith that this will be possible for you to achieve.
-
ShieldJodyTitleI like the guys and love the guests but if there’s something controversial coming up (gay men donating blood, racism, etc) they really gotta back off and let the guests breathe.
-
Aiden from TexasThanks So Much!I am a bit further away than most of your listeners (Texas, US) But I just wanted to say that your impact is spreading much farther than you know. This podcast has really helped me come to terms with being sick and still living my life. Thank you so much for that. I really enjoy listening in weekly and I often stockpile episodes for when I can’t go to school. Thank you so much!

Halley_24Gold!I’ve been binging this podcast for the past few days! I struggle with anorexia myself and was told about the few episodes regarding it and I just went from there! Every episode is amazing. It’s hard for anything to really capture my attention but they did it! I love how their guests let them talk about anything and add humor to their situation!

runfreedanceplayLet the laughs healReal talk! 7 months ago my new baby boy was unexpectedly diagnosed with cf and began experiencing health struggles. Suddenly, everything in my life felt hard and sad and overwhelming beyond measure. Not knowing how to respond to such grief, I scoured for every cf-related material: scholarly medical journals, parent support groups, books, websites, videos, and even... podcasts. In all this searching, this podcast smacked me with an unexpected and unheard tone: irreverent, hilarious, sophomoric, ridiculous. Hearing you silly guys laugh, I found myself able to laugh, too. I binged a dozen episodes and snapped into a good place. I remembered I am *still* a mom of two boys. I will still get to live in a hyper, wild, messy house with fart jokes, wrest-mania, all the joyous absurdity of boys like your friendship group. Thanks for keeping it real. I really needed that moment. Please keep doing what you are doing, having fun. Best wishes!

clamjamboreeplease know when to shut upI listen to this podcast because the guests are amazing and have such good stories to tell. The hosts continually interrupt the guests to make their own jokes, which usually makes me shut the episode off early because it gets annoying. I may be ~extra sensitive~ to some of their jokes as a person with a chronic illness. But it often feels like they are more interested in getting good ratings from their own humor, rather than getting good ratings from creating a greater understanding/empathy for people struggling with a chronic illness.
-
Bkworm81How it feels to live with the worst bad news doctors can deliverIllness in perspective: every episode is one person’s story, one person’s version of how disease is incorporated into the story of one’s self. Look elsewhere for statistics and drug reviews. What you find here is the feeling of what happens and examples of how individuals rise to meet the gravest (and most trivial) challenges. Served with humor and humanity.

seattlegarciaThis better take less than 3 min. to write this review. This is by far one of my favorite podcasts. I stumbled upon it thinking it was going to be a bunch of crass jokes and boy was I right. What I really love about it is bringing a face/personality to different afflictions/disease. The guys are really funny it they are also really human. The guests are amazing in how they are able to talk about the hardest thing in their lives. I will be a long time listener and look forward to every episode I get to listen too. Keep it up and tell the Hanson brothers hello from Seattle!
-
baddie4UShhhhickboiI love listening to these guys. I laugh so hard almost every episode and am also humbled every episode. Keep it up!!

TavianicholLove it 😍Ive been listening for a while, & there has not been a dull episode. That’s what I was worried about when I started, that it would get repetitive, but it absolutely has not. The guys are hilarious & ask all the right questions. LOVE IT.
-
jenorbitThank you for your sweet podcastSickboys hosts truly “get it”. The combination of education, real life impact of chronic illness, and HUMOR is so important! Thank you so much
-
Pinetree0611Too much interruptingThis is such an amazing concept for a podcast, and the guys exhibit such bravery and commitment in telling these stories. Unfortunately, I’ve tried listening to a few separate episodes and every time I find myself getting so frustrated by the constant interruption of the guests by the hosts, often with somewhat irrelevant anecdotes or jokes that just go on too long. Living with a chronic disease myself, I was so excited to find this outlet to hopefully learn from others going through similar situations. Instead, I feel like I hardly get to find that connection because guests are often cut off and unable to finish sharing their valuable experiences. I really hope the hosts can try to work on this, because I do love that something like this is out there!!

ITSme_AlexanderAdenomyosisThank you so much for this episode!! Not a lot of people understand this condition.
