    Stop typing into the mic
Good show, but SO hard to listen to with all the keyboard and mouse clicks right into the mic. Insanely distracting.

    Police council
Loving the series with input from multiple officers points of view. Very informative and if only some city council could sit down and hear boots on the ground opinions, we’d be in a better place.

Please give an actual description of the episodes!
Every single episode show notes is the exact same?! How do I get a brief summary of what the episode is about. Each episode may not interest me, so I would like to know what I’m about to listen to. Thanks!

Amazing content guys. But audio so bad I can’t listen to it. Especially the Tom Givens episode which I really want to listen to. There has to be a mastering process to help the final audio even though it’s Skype audio/video. Look into Waves Audio plug ins.

    Good conversation, perspectives and education.
Great conversation from a variety of guests and co-hosts that discuss a broad range of perspectives and topics. It is all aimed at educating the listener and helping them along their personal shooting and defense journey.
  • The Old Boy Scout
    Informative and entertaining
Good conversation back and fourth between the guests and hosts on a wide range of topics. I listen to this while on the road and find it very informative on self defense topics, gear, and training. Great to have hosts that are also instructors and know and teach what they talk about.

Amazing opportunity to learn and grow!
This show is hands down is the best thing going for the new shooter or the “expert” who “has been shooting their whole life.” It has opened my mind, educated and led me to several training opportunities with the guest instructors. To hear two normal guys talk with the who’s who of the firearms Industry, competition, law enforcement and military is simply amazing each episode. The notes I have taken are priceless! If your not listening to this show, your just not growing and learning as much as you could. Do yourself a favor and tune in to each episode and be prepared for experienced wisdom to be shared and enjoyed. Great job guys, keep rocking! Big Shout out to Kerry Davis with Dark Angel Medical, John Murphy with FPF Training and Spencer Keepers. All are amazing instructors and mentors! Oh yeah, hope to catch Cecil Burch in October with FPF Training! -Trailrunner1852
  • Scfairfax
    Great podcast
Great listen with solid info from their lineup of guests. Especially appreciated the chuck Pressburg episode I just listened to. I like that the hosts definitely are doing it primarily for the benefit of their listeners and not themselves!

Best all Around 2A pod !!!
Civilian Carry Radio is the best 2A pod around. Much like a John Murphy class it gives an awesome all-around view on all things related to the 2nd Amendment and what it means to us. Which means that it's not just about shooting and tactics. Most of the greats of the industry have been on or will on this podcast (Yep, still waiting for Greg Ellifritz). If you are new to what it means to take responsibility for you and your own or have even been doing it for 30 years, you will learn and be entertained by this program. If listening to this podcast doesn’t drive you to obtain some training then I'd say that nothing will.

Why you should check out Civilian Carry Radio
This podcast is a great resource for citizens who wish to take responsibility for their own safety security and are looking for information from vetted instructors and subject matter experts. The producers do an excellent job of finding the best in the industry and presenting them on a platform that is convenient and well designed. New citizen defenders and “industry” peers alike will benefit and enjoy this program.

    Infomercial for firearms training
Don’t bother. It’s a bunch a people who want you to pay them to be your trainer. Mostly shameless self promotion, with minimal content.
  • BlackbartPO8
    Quality
Quality guests Quality info Quality hosts But please get a cough button so you can snort snot in private and the keyboard clicks, phones ringing and alarms going off and other background noises really pull the Quality of the listening experience down. Granted I still have 40 episodes to finish to get current so maybe this has already been addressed. Thanks.
  • NickLanding
    Excellent content. Awful production.
Guys, I love your show, but please get some technical assistance. The format is of interviews and casual conversations with very knowledge people the information shared and discussed is second to none! I’ve benefited greatly from the interviews and introductions to these trainers. Because of this podcast had several opportunities to seek out and train with many of these folks! Each time I thank them for their time on this podcast as I wouldn’t known about them otherwise. Unfortunately, the excellent information is overshadowed by terrible audio quality, sinuous clearing, or random audio clips from the host covering up the guest speaking. Each of these odd production problems can be fixed with some technical training or production assistance from other members of the firearms radio network. I’m sure the production will get better in time. Hopefully, some interviews can be re-recorded so they can be heard.

    Awesome show!
This show is awesome! Politics free! Love your guys podcast! These are the Americans which you should be proud of as they are doing this to inform and educate us! Every show they are acknowledging their own weaknesses and daily problems and how they are going about it to solve the problem! The views are open and are always focused on responsibility! These guys are also just like any trainer, that we need to look up too! If your listening than you are looking to them for answers and info just as any instructor! Thank you guys!

    Informative Information
All the discussions are handled in a manner that is helpful to both the new gun carrier and the more experienced gun carrier. The guests are all top rate and the information is presented in a logical and professional manner. Great job for this team.
  • Spiel4
Audio quality is rough but when I can understand it’s good
I like your podcast but sometimes the audio moves to the left then comes back. Might be when the host system is unmuted.
  • Snowmassicist
    Excellent defensive fundamental instruction
There is a wealth of knowledge coming from Civilian Carry Radio. If you are a defensive minded individual this podcast is worth its weight in gold.
  • cbedrosian
    Seriously important
In all honesty, this podcast’s content has becomes me a very important part of my life. The focus on the importance of training and a fresh face of 2A all presented in a welcoming and professional manner. Top notch guests, high quality interviews and discussions, it’s the best out there. I appreciate the absence of politics and timelessness of the information. Thank you for sharing this and for bringing this topic to the forefront. Every time I listen I am rewinding to take notes and look programs up.

    Civilian Carry Radio Review
A great firearms program that focuses on training and equipment for the concealed carry civilian.
  • Roncarter
    Always training
For the guests and content that Civilian Carry Radio has had on, I have been very impressed. I have been a listener for quite some time and every show gets better. Especially now that Mr. James has the technology mastered to produce great sounding content. A+++ Only other in-depth training podcast is After Action Project. These two podcast rule the civilian firearms training podcasts.

    Great Show
Great show, I love the differnt opioions and perspectives even if I don't agree with them. It was because of this show I decide to take the dark angel mini course at nra carry guard expo, and that was far beyond excellent. **Audio quality is sometimes a little bad, but hay it's free****
  • Timk1795
    Good podcast but..........
as stated in other reviews, someone needs to learn to mute themselves. I understand you forget to take yourself off mute and end up talking to yourself, but after practice it is no differnet then learning to operate the safety on an AR-15. In my line of work I am on several conferences calls a day and flipping yourself off mute becomes second nature. I am going to give it one more try, and if the sniffing, clearing of throat, and typing continues, I am will have to move on. It isway to distracting and takes away from the excellent guests.
  • tdowns1964
    Microphone discipline
We often talk about muzzle discipline in the "gun culture". I submit some mic discipline is in order here. I would give 5 stars, but one of the regular hosts has a habit of sniffing, snoring and generally clearing his throat into his open mic. It's kinda icky and very distracting while the guest or others are speaking.
  • sir whale man
    Great show but...
Whoever is typing needs to mute their mic. That is infuriating.
  • Ey Big Mike
    Incredibly engaging and informative
I have frequently searched and searched again for a good podcast that discusses firearms, specifically from a tactical or defense standpoint and have had little luck. When I found this podcast I was stoked. They always have very knowledgeable guest hosts who give a ton of info and the hosts themselves are extremely knowledgeable. They talk from a realistic standpoint that keeps up with the current and progressive firearms/tactical knowledge, unlike many "Good ol' boy" style podcasts where outdated traditions and personal opinions are pushed as doctrine. This podcast is also more than anything a great resource to connect you with the best local firearms trainers in the country. They provide a great window to see what the great training courses offer and the guests discuss WHY they teach what they teach. Unfortunately I live behind the iron curtain in California so very few, almost none of their guests are close by, but that's beside the point. Give them a listen and you will absolutely learn something and get the fire to train ignited. MH

    Great work
    Great information
  • AcilletaM
    Outstanding content - poor audio
The topics covered in the interviews are really, really good. Everybody who is serious about carrying should listen to what is being said. That is, if you can make it out from the noise of somebody slapping the crap out of the keyboard and mouse, answering their phone, and feedback. Some of us don't have the best hearing and that other stuff becomes white noise that drowns out what is truly great content.
  • Oldkat69
    Best Interviews!
These guys are connected & have the best guests in the firearms & self defense world! Listening is well wort your time
  • Jtrain88
Knowledge and resources that could save your life
I heard about this podcast listening to "This Week In Guns" Podcast. Baraka is one of my favorites so when I heard he was starting his own podcast I was stoked. I tuned in and got hooked off the first episode. I have been searching for a podcast to help connect me with resources to help me be a more prepared individual and this podcast is full of useful info. From out here in California, thank you for this quality podcast.
  • JaySSS-ATL
Great content but stop the left-right ear audio!
I am a big supporter of what you are saying in this podcast, but please bring the audio back to the center. I get a headache listening and getting audio on only one side. In addition, I often listen with only one earbud in, and I can't listen to your podcast that way. Just stop with the stereo stuff.
