Debunking the Myths: How This Show Twists Early Christianity into Fiction
The show is well-produced, but it dilutes the nefarious and demonic aspects of secret societies while consistently taking subtle (and not-so-subtle) jabs at Christianity and the early Church. It frequently portrays early Christianity before Constantine as chaotic and unstructured, implying that only when Constantine intervened did a select few arbitrarily decide the faith according to their own preferences. This narrative is misleading and betrays a lack of understanding of Church history. Christianity has always upheld its apostolic teachings. Constantine’s role was not to “decide” doctrine but to provide the political framework for those doctrines to be officially recognized at Nicaea in 325 CE. The Council did not invent Christianity; it codified and formalized what had been faithfully taught since the time of the apostles. The show perpetuates the same tired tropes: questioning the nature of Christ, sympathizing with heretics, vilifying the Catholic Church, and suggesting that Christianity is a fabricated religion. For instance, in one episode, it was claimed as fact that early Christianity had “thousands” of sects and factions before Nicaea. Thousands! This assertion is not only historically inaccurate but grossly exaggerated. It’s difficult not to suspect a political agenda when the show consistently makes such dubious claims, sowing doubt about the legitimacy and continuity of Christian doctrine. Whether intentional or not, this undermines the rich historical and theological legacy of the Church.

    Stop with the
While I live listening to these stories and history involved, I have one problem. Stop calling Hispanic people Latinx. Even Hispanic people don’t like it and quite honestly see it as insulting. Just stop already.

Latinx is not a word! Stop pandering to the 3% that are mentally I’ll. Goodbye

    LA Sheriff’s Gangs Pt. 5
This all sounded great until they got to the need to “defund the police” or get rid of the system or police entirely, of the BLM had a point in raising awareness about police brutality. There is a serious point of police brutality, but none of these efforts has ground to stand on. They”de groups or objectives are part of a Marxist scheme to destabilize and further divide groups through misdirection. So while using cast off stories of “secret societies” this podcast is attempting to obscure some of the most current approaches and techniques elites in their secret societies are using to control and manipulate society at large.

    Boring
Poor narration and historical inaccuracies. Some episodes are tolerable but not many.

    Needs better research
Not a bad podcast, but the inclusion of CFR on a Secret Societies pod is a joke. The addition really takes away from the brief. Additionally, the the Rosicrucian ep is a huge, huge mess from a historical accuracy perspective. Please consider making corrections.

    Far Left Propaganda
I am finished listening to your biased podcasts. In an effort to appear “woke” you have constantly spread the standard far left propaganda, especially the BLM line about systemic racism and that ACAB. You have repeatedly shown your true colors with your biased podcasts.

    Disinformation - Deliberately Protects Freemasons
You mention Freemason Leader Albert Pike and the accusations against him of devil-worship, while quickly claiming the accusations were proven an outlandish hoax. You FAIL to mention that Pike himself published literature praising Lucifer. You also fail to mention famous occultists and 33rd degree masons Alestair Crowley or Manly P Hall and their multiple printed admissions of sorcery and devil-worship within the very upper tiers of Masons. Anyone can find this in a 2 second internet search. Nice cherry-picking of information to obviously defend this nefarious group. I laughed out loud when you referred to these people calling each other “Most Worshipful Master” as though it were 100% normal behavior. This whole report sounds like truth-distorting damage control. Good to know who runs your company.

I was excited about this podcast. I love the topic. Then after a few episodes, the true agenda came out. Keep your liberal propaganda to yourself.

    Left wing propaganda??
AlphaPlumdad and JessicaJonesMCU1: How ignorant are you? I’ve heard of most of these groups since the 1980s, because I read. What makes it “left wing”? talking about Nazi spiritual background is common knowledge. Hess’ weird flight to the UK has been a subject for decades. Are the Chinese boxers or LA’s sheriff origins left-wing/? Your knee-jerk reactions to proven historical information belies your ignorance and inability to learn and total cognitive dissonance.. Laughable. You don’t like researchers, fact checking and primary sources? Go back to FOX news that researches nothing ever. Name one example of left wing bias please.

    Awful
Boring. Males host is generic. Typical far left propaganda. About done with Parcast as a whole

    Male host sounds like AI
Not a terrible podcast, if you don’t mind radically liberal viewpoints. Also, the male host sounds like a computer-generated voice. Also, Parcast: I NEVER want to listen to Blind Dating or Criminal Couples. Please stop it. The ad overload is so excessive that I am beginning to hate your podcasts. I’m here for crime, conspiracy, and the occasional paranormal. Not here for any stupid dating game or twisted love stories. Learn your audience.

    Snooze fest
As a law enforcement officer, this was interesting. I had to stop listening after episode 3 because it was a yawn and throughout the series the writers made A LOT of conjectures. And the continual use of “Latinx” was absurd.
  • Sixer760
    BLM mouthpiece
Show is nothing more than a BLM anti cop mouthpiece in the end.

    I’m done
I enjoyed the show early on but now we have multiple episodes to add more commercial time and distracting background music. No thanks.
  • Armyboatie
    Stop with the SJW nonsense
I like the podcast. They have been pretty interesting but stop with all the hidden and sometimes blatant social justice nonsense. Latino works just fine. All the Hispanic people I know roll their eyes when they hear that. You spend a lot of time mentioning white gangs did this and while people did that but rarely mention the race of the other criminals. A bit one sided.
  • PonteLasPilas
    Stop with the “Latinx”
Just listened to the deputy gang episode. Overall it was good, but the use of the ridiculous, woke term “Latinx” really grated on my nerves. We’re Hispanic or Latino. There is no such word as Latinx, and those of us that are Hispanic really can’t stand that term. So please stop. I would have enjoyed the episode, and paid more attention, if I hadn’t been thinking about how much that stupid word bothers me.
  • basketrabbit
Parcast is a podcast content farm
All their podcasts follow the same formula: hire voice actors to essentially read the Wikipedia page, larded with eerie music and a sprinkling of original research (melodramatic descriptions of initiation ceremonies in this case). Much faster to just read the Wikipedia page yourself.

    Those Italian words...
Oof, hack job. No offense, but is this just “read” by text-to-speech converters? Perhaps an overkill auto tune mix? Gross. I checked out this pod for their two-part Cosa Nostra feature. Disappointed, if not unsurprised, I found it all very well-worn. Nothing that hasn’t been done to death by all those schlocky “documentaries” you see on tv. I’m quite interested in most of the topics they cover but sadly I don’t think they’ll be able to execute without being totally bland.
  • rock memphis
Really enjoy it I give it a 5
I give you a 5 great host working together
  • Matoro98
Mildly entertaining, but not very open minded
They do a decent job of getting the overview facts. However, they seem to not take some sources seriously for arbitrary reasons. For instance, they'll entertain ideas of conspiracies while in the same episode dismiss people like David Icke for having crazy theories.
  • Serenity_Z
    I love this pats cast
I listen to this paracast and others by the same host almost everyday at work. Their chemistry makes it fun to listen to and I learn from it. I am always looking forward to new issues. Keep up the good work.

    Need Better Fact Checking
Listened to Sons of Liberty episode....Patrick Henry did not say “Give me liberty or give me death.” Not to mention most of the info you gave about John Hancock was wrong. Y’all need better fact checking

Too Agenda Driven Based Solely on Theories
I really want to like Secret Societies and Dictators. Most of the topics these shows cover are of great interest to me and they do provide details on irrefutable facts and insightful commentary on the impacts to society, economics and politics. However, they spend equal amounts of time discussing unfounded conspiracy theories and their extreme negative impacts on the subject. We all are aware that there have been negetive actions that no one today is proud to look back on. But I got one am finished with any Oarcast podcast as I don’t appreciate progressive agendas and narratives based solely on conjecture.

    Terrible presentation
Super interesting idea, terrible presentation. Sounds like a movie trailer. There’s no interaction between the presenters. So disappointing as the subject matter is fascinating. I can’t get beyond the presenters awful delivery.
  • Mattyb2000
    Mediocre
Fairly informative but I question the fact-checking and editing of content. The most recent episode on the Sons if Liberty has several examples. John Hancock inherited his shipping company from his uncle, not father. His father died when John was young and the aunt and uncle raised him as their own...leaving their wealth and company to him. James Madison was the founding father who spent time with Benjamin Franklin and others, not John Madison.

    Too dramatic
This pod, along with it’s sister pod Cults, are way too dramatic. They put too much of their own narrative than actual sources.

    Great podcast
The hosts are very engaging, the topics interesting, and overall it’s just a really interesting podcast.
  • Vendeeglb04
Great podcast but the daily quote is starting to ruin it.
Please stop including the daily quote or whatever in the middle of the story. I love this podcast but I really dislike the quote coming in totally off topic and disrupting the flow. I’d honestly rather have ads than the sample from the daily quote podcast. Other than that I really like the podcast and it’s got some interesting stuff.
  • LykMyCock
    Painstaking to listen to
The story tellers both sound like two movie trailer narrators. There’s no interaction between the two, they just take turns reading their scripts. Completely mind numbing

Just started, but I like it!
I just started this tonight (April 8, ‘20) but I’m seriously intrigued! While I was looking through the subjects, I noticed I didn’t recognize most of it, which I genuinely appreciate because I can go into this unbiased. I think it’s well-paced and feels like the older History channel documentaries—a huge plus for me. Looking forward to the rest of your show! Cheers!
  • frankthepartygod
    Interesting!
Not sure why anyone would take the time to make a negative comment. Just stop listening if you’re so bored. Anyways! I think this podcast is very informative and I like that they state the sources they are getting their information from. I have been binge listening and I can’t wait for more episodes!
  • katkatkatkatkatkittykatok
    😕
Soooooooooooooooooooo boring and I thought it was a poor choice they did their second episode on something so historical. Bad combo with the already boring voices. Don’t they get tired of talking like that too? Hope someone steals this idea and does it better TBH!

    Exposing a lot of folks
I’ve read some of the reviews by people who are members of these groups. If it’s not true, why are you so mad? This podcast is well researched and delivered. Thanks for another great listen while I work.
  • JMede
    Slow moving
Interesting topic, but it’s so slow paced that I find myself dazing off and not listening.
  • JCfromJKT
Decent Subject....both those antiseptic voices - ugh
Like the topics but both hosts sound like they are reading a sophomore book report to a class of fifth graders. So mechanical, sterile and robotic. Can’t listen much longer.
  • AReddoch
    Like a TV show
This podcast is written and produced like one of those shows that keeps promising to show some big reveal, but drags it out. In most cases it sounds like they got all of their information from one source so not too well researched. They’ll go in and tell a story or “fact” as if it is the truth, and then almost always follow up with “but that likely didn’t happen” or something to that measure. Being a Freemason I can’t wait to hear what they do with that episode. Basically, if you are looking for something educational on “secret societies” this isn’t it. If you want the gossip, this is the place.
  • mista_Blinks
    Amazing
The fact they go so in depth and are able to make you feel like you are in the organization they are talking about is awesome! Pure fire and excitement this is what podcasting should be!
