    Stop Yawning
Why would anyone keep listening to a podcast when the host yawns numerous times throughout the show? If the host is bored, why expect listeners to expect to enjoy the show?

    I apologize
I was wrong and I apologize. I originally thought Bix was annoying but now I understand that I was just projecting my insecurities. The show is great. Keep it up.

Just when I thought I was reducing my wrestling podcasts
…I came across this one by accident and really enjoyed the first two listens. A bold and worthy endeavor. Not they I care what Meltzer says, but sweet little microcosm snapshots of “the week in wrestling” years ago. I’ll take all the mid-80s you can muster! Update: the latest episode from 97 popped me during “Halftime” when hosts talked about Indy wrestling fans acting out at shows cuz they can’t get laid. Heh!

    Yawning
The constant yawning while reading kind of kills my interest, not sure why they don’t have the person who doesn’t constantly yawn do more of the reading?

Kris Zellner is worse than Bix
This career grocery store worker (and bumbling redneck) has become more of a far-left lunatic than even his basement-dwelling cohost and all-around loser David Bixenspan.

David Bixenspan is the absolute worst
Kris Z is fantastic, & shares unbiased information, whereas his buddy Bix is just horrible. The dudes bias is so bad, after 3+ years I’ve cancelled my patreon support for the show. I can no longer support anything Bix is apart of, dude is the epitome of a basement smart mark, & doesn’t deserve the platform he has. Unsubscribed… if Kris Z ever smartens up & cans Bix I’ll be back.

    Be nice to Bix, Kris!!!!
I want to see Kris and Bix shoot fight.

    Good
Bix is great. No other podcasts like this. If the other guy laid down in the middle of traffic, I think the podcast would improve severely.

    Off topic
Podcast is off topic, zellner has horrible adhd it seems like, not for those who want some uniform, all over the place blab!

    Constant Bickering
I wish there were anyone else with Chris and Bix’s level of knowledge and research ability. They have zero chemistry together. It’s like listening to two dungeon masters arguing about the slightest details. You can’t beat it as an invaluable resource for wrestling history but by the end of the episode I always have a headache.

    Essential for long-time fans
This is my favorite podcast period. The deep-dives into wrestling history always lead to learning some new things and the more shows you listen to the more inside jokes you pick up on. If you love wrestling history this is the show for you.

    Some good, some re-hash
Most of it is really good. I get frustrated at the same homophobic jokes about the same five or six people along. Vix thinks he’s funny, but it’s just repeating a few things over and over. MAY 19th IS NOT FUNNY!!!!

    I dig it
I dig it. These shows help with my workday. I usually start the new episodes mid day and finish out the work day with it. Always insightful and I feel I learn something each episode. Good stuff

Needs a serious edit job before uploading
I enjoy the show as long as the host can keep Bixenspan wrapped up. His tendency to fall into wormholes usually drag the show to a complete halt. He interrupts the hosts and most guests far too often. Also, his obsession with second guessing sheet writers and bookers years after the fact is very annoying. It’s easy to be “right” when you have the benefit of history and google searches. It seems like he just can’t accept that writers may have been guessing or sharing opinions based on incomplete info. His need to call out Meltzer on decades old typos probably adds hours in cumulative show running time. I like his writing, but he often inspires me to skip entire sections of this podcast.

5 stars for Rob Naylor. 1 for Between The Sheets
Cover 2 Cover is a keeper, thanks to Naylor revisiting a format (someone reads down a list or something and he interjects and riffs irreverently) that was so f’ing hilarious decades ago. BTS not so much.

    Seems almost impossible
The hosts have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours together and yet their chemistry remains terrible. Have they been sentenced to do this together? Choosing to live like this seems unlikely. But by sheer volume of content it makes a decent podcast to stream while waiting for others to drop.

    Kris is great. Bix....well
Bixenspan is easily the most annoying wrestling podcaster there is. Don’t know how Zellner hasn’t completely ripped Bix a new one yet through his constant interruptions and dork clarifications that usually lead to no new pertinent info.
  • Wasted From The Hips Down
    Great show each time
    Always top quality stuff
  • Paging Dr. Hal Atosis
    never a bad show
Kris knows how to put on a show. No matter how long it goes you just want more.

    LOVE revisiting the magazines!
The Cover to cover segment is very refreshing. In a plethera of podcasts it really stands out. I would love you guys to do some PWI's from back in the day. Keep up the great work

    A mumbler and a twerp
Bix is annoying, Kris is unintelligible. Listening to Kris over the past year Is like seeing an old friend from county high at the piggly wiggly every week and eventually noticing he’s become a psycho republican. Whatever. Other than that it’s a good show.
  • Hawk Man Do
    Get Comfy Between The Sheets
Easily the best wrestling related podcast, bar none. I learn something new each and every week. Kris and Bix have a great dynamic. Always good guests, but you know it’s a helluva deal when Beau James is on. This show is my number one jam.

Must listen to fans of classic wrestling
Both Bix and Kris really know their stuff. This is one of the titans in the podcasting space. Their patreon content is amazing as well.

    Appointment Listening
Every Monday, I am looking for the episode to be freshly loaded. This is appointment listening if you have an interest in wrestling history.
  • A Laugh & a 1/2
    a really well done podcast
we have sampled so many garbage podcasts lately, looking at you arcadian vanguard, so it was nice to get back on track with quality content. for a long show it never becomes boring and tedious.
  • The Yellow and Black Attack
    great show
    never disappointed with this show
  • MattWithAMouth
    Good ish
Kris & Rob are great together. 2 guys that love pro wrestling. With a wealth of knowledge. 2 of my favorite people in this wild word of wrestling.
  • depressing zen garden
    top notch
    always good stuff from Zellner
  • Will Hartke
Used to be great. Used to be.
I really used to love this show because it is a great look back at what was in the news at given times. Now, between someone’s phone constantly going off (seriously, silence your phone) or Kris yelling at Bix for calling out an error in Kris’ part, it is almost unlistenable. Kris just plain can’t admit when he’s wrong, especially when Bix points out what he said. Makes for a painful listen. And Kris - you did say “Ken Sensation”.
  • Tally uh oh
    PC Police Bixxy
Kris and the guests make Bixenspan uncomfortable with any little comment that is deemed “oh dear” worthy from the self appointed censorship. He is the Ed Whalen of podcasting in more ways than you can imagine. I like Kris, but he should just have a guest and host it solo.

    Thanks for the memories!
You guys have contributed to everything that makes life a happy place! I love you guys! I’ll always support!! I’m passing the word on this gold!! PLEASE! PLEASE !! PLEASE!!! Do a IWA show!! (1975 -76)
  • nola big fan
    Anyone but Bix.
I really enjoy the content from Kris and his special guest co-hosts. If there was a way to listen to this pod without David’s interruptions and lackluster contributions, this would be wrestling’s best podcast. Kris’ light hearted and informative takes are great.

    Positive Rays Of Energy
Yayy!! These guys are my friends, and bring positive rays of energy into my daily life! Oh my boy, I hope everyone shares positive rays of energy with Kris and Bix the care bear way!!

    One of the best
Kris and Bix are two encyclopedias of wrestling knowledge. Their personalities and humor are perfect. You feel like you are listening to your friends. Great show and the patreon shows are great too!!! Love these two dudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • jcmanhattan
    Boring
Dont waste your time. There’s SO many wrestling podcasts out there that there should be no reason you’ll need to listen. David is as dry as Meltzer w/o the android-like wrestling knowledge, and if you want entertainment, there’s the Lapsed Fan, or to a lesser degree, Conrad’s casts. No reason for this to really exist.
  • mrlaughalot
    Fantastic stuff
Quickly becoming one of my favorite wrestling podcasts.
  • 1silva
    Great chronicling of wrestling
For fans of old school wrestling, this and Exile on Badstreet are for you. Kris and Bix review a week in history while looking at what The Observer and Torch were covering at the time. They break down each territory at that period of time. Exile also gives you a historical breakdown of either a wrestler or territory. My favorite shows on Exile has been the Butch Reed episode and the episodes on the history of Florida wrestling.
  • Skipps04
    Bix brings it down
This would be a 5 star review if not for Bix. Kris is awesome, i love the history he explains and stories, and ties it in well. Bix constantly cuts Kris off, refers to inside stories that he won't tell, and acts like he knows stuff, when he is obviously googling stuff in the background. I wish Kris had a better co-host, but thats on him
  • Art Corvaley
    Good but sliding
I enjoy a lot of the content, but both of these guys seem a little full of themselves. Between Bixenspan's smug insider attitude combined with Zellner's Ed McMahon-style over laughing at Meltzer's writings sometimes the show gets aggrevating.

Best Wrestling Podcast for history buffs
If you like to hear in depth history about 80s and 90s wrestling, this podcast is the best!!!

    A Rescue from Wrestling Rhetoric
Kris and David give the wrestling podcast industry a breath of fresh air. The pacing and discussion is a great change from the usual wrestling podcast. I would suggest Between the Sheets to any wrestling fan that feels a bit exhausted by their usual podcasts.
  • bigk55
this show is going down hill
the show is ok but biggest thing i hate is the dumb amazon game makes the show long went it really does need to be
  • Sjsbear
    Comforting and Informative
This is such a great and relaxing podcast. I always learn so much and love their history knowledge and explanations of wrestling through the ages. Always happy to put it on!
  • Travis Terminus
    Stellar Show
Probably the most informative wrestling podcast I've ever heard.
  • Clay Bell The Dastardly
    Must-listen for Wrestling fans
This podcast lets me relive my childhood wrestling fandom, while dropping knowledge from the dirt sheets at the time. Not to mention hat the hosts are funny and have a great time... and they exposed me to the awesomeness of Japanese wrestling for the first time. Once you start, you'll be addicted... and then they have an awesome series on WWF's expansion on Patreon! Well done guys and kudos.

A couple SUPERB shows... So glad it has its own feed!!
I have been a fan of this show since the earliest episodes! Kris Zellner is a valued wrestling historian with outstanding recall (especially in regards to classic wrestling results) and well thought out opinions that are virtually always spot on! Bix is also scary knowledgeable with insight into very specific events in wrestling history... Exile on Badstreet is also here now!!!!! Another OUTSTANDING classic wrestling podcast... I just couldn't recommend this podcast/Feed highly enough!

    A Weekly Must
I listen to Between the Sheets every Monday evening at work and haven't missed one yet. Kris and Bix's chemistry is perfect and I find myself learning something new every week.
  • The Hungry Buddhist
    Consistently good
This is one of the few podcasts that is excellent every week. It's great to have an objective presentation of recent wrestling history.

a great history show on pro wrestling
This show is great for learning more on the history of pro wrestling.

    Best podcast in the world!
I sadly don't get to listen to the shows as much as I used to but Between the Sheets is my favorite podcast going today. I especially like the episodes where I was actively reading wrestling news and hearing about all the stuff I forgot about or never heard before. Keep it up, Kris & Bix!
