Feed is not updating regularly, missing every other day or so

I think the feed isn’t working correctly. Hasn’t updated in over a week.

John Piper helps reveal to us who God is by leading us to worship God through His word in a simple & yet extremely profound way. This podcast is an anchor for our Christian faith!

Every night before bed, I’ll come downstairs to reflect on the day in prayer, and I’ll start by listening to this. It’s a great way to calm the mind after the chaos of the day, and Piper is an amazing teacher.

I can speak highly enough of how this podcast has shaped by theology and pastoral ministry!

Ben blessed by solid joys for years

This is where I begin each day. Before I can take the time to get physically set up to read the Word, Before I can even turn my mind to the worries of the day ahead, Desiring God is there EACH day of the week to turn my mind to my Father in Heaven and to better prepare me for anything that I may encounter. It’s a quick listen, so in just a few minutes, my heart is turned to righteousness and not to what the tempter throws. Thank you, John Piper! God has blessed me and many others because of your life ministry!

Every time I listen to Pastor John, I weep and am moved to prayer and worship. I am grateful for a true father in the Faith who exhibits great love, passion and kindness as he diligently and carefully…in fear and trembling, yet in great joy…delivers God’s gracious Word and encouragement to each of us. Piper brings the Bible to us in the most accurate way that he can. We study the Bible, and ask God for life through the power of the Holy Spirit. We know the truth as we understand that we are becoming more like Jesus, resting more in Jesus, and loving more like Jesus. This change begins in this troubled world, scarred and bruised by sin. We know that our changes here are the beginning of a new creation in us, for us, and therefore for Him…the Lord of all. Piper speaks that we may know Jesus. Together we will celebrate in glory seeing the Lord and united with him. Let’s continue to live now with Jesus!

I have Alexa as my alarm and she tells me the weather immediately after I quiet my alarm then she plays Solid Joys. It’s been a great benefit having this diet thing in the morning. It helps to set my day up with a right and hopeful perspective.

There is nothing more calming and no better way to start your day than listening to John. His voice and his message gives you hope for the day.

This podcast and many other resources by John Piper help Christians like myself delve often and deeply into understanding a topic that is often avoided or misunderstood - suffering, pain, and persecution. John Piper is bold and fearless in facing this topic head on. And more importantly, he does it with love and compassion; similar to the ways of Christ. Christian persecution and oppression is alive and well in today’s society; not only in societies intolerant of Christians, but also in those that profess Christian values as their foundation. Many Christians in these societies often suffer in silence and isolation. Having podcasts like these that address the reality of this issue, and then help those who are experiencing persecution understand the beauty and rewards of suffering for Christ, is truly a blessing. Many Christians, especially those in the developed world understand and experience little to no persecution because of their faith. No wonder this topic is often avoided or forgotten about. Thank you John Piper for helping people like myself understand what suffering in and for Christ is all about; for strengthening our faith; and reminding us of the hope that is in Christ.

This podcast is like getting a spiritual b-12 shot that quickly powers you up and sets the tone for the day. I have a couple of devotional podcasts I listen to, and it’s easy to add this one into my mix because of their brevity without sacrificing substance. After listening for several months, I’m proud to say that I now support this podcast financially.

I love to listen to these first thing in the morning. At about 2-4 minutes long, these daily reflections are so packed with truth and insights to mull over. So thankful to the Lord for John Piper’s tireless efforts in this and his other work. These are also written out, if reading is your preferred method.

There are times when a want to listen to something based on God's word, but don't have the time for a sermon. It is hard to find a podcast like this! Thank you, brother, for providing this for us!

I listen most mornings while I brush my teeth and it just sets my heart and mind on jesus and keeps me in an eternal perspective!!

This podcast always makes me feel like crap, lol but in a good way. It humbles me to the point of no return every time I listen. I feel sorrowful about my sin and wind up praying after I hear it. John is blessed and these messages are ripe with the conviction needed to stay humble before Our marvelous King.

Great podcast but it is loaded at a much much lower volume than others making it hard, if not impossible to hear sometimes.
