    Fabulous host
Jessica is an amazing host and brings value with every conversation.
  • marileal16
    Terrible
Honestly making getting sober and grounding into your higher self into a joke. Very simplistic and trying to put everything in a label. Just one persons opinion and very harmful to others. Go to therapy instead.

    Host
Dr. Brooke Scheller is very interesting to listen to. I enjoyed learning from her, but I struggled with the host. She makes a lot of sounds while the guest is talking. Also, when the host chimed in I felt like what she was saying wasn’t totally related to what the guest was even talking about. Her input was totally unnecessary and distracting.
  • Drinklesssusan
    Real talk!
What a great episode! I enjoyed the transparency and real stories. Ho Ho holidays! LOl! Reminded me of how much my holidays have Improved without alcohol!

I love this podcast and Jessica
Jessica is an amazing host. She has a way of drawing out people’s stories and feelings around their sobriety journey. There is no judgement and all love for everyone. I love that everyone’s journey and experiences have a place in this podcast and in a Sober Girls Guide membership. Please keep doing what you’re doing to help not only sober curious women but people in sobriety and coaches alike. Love ya mucho💘

    Cheerleader when I needed it
Felt like Jessica’s words helped cheer me on into believing I can be sober.

    Dr Laura rules
I love this pod but Dr Laura’s episode is my new fave! Her episode perfectly encapsulated what it means to be sober amongst complicated family/friend/self dynamics. Thank you for all you do, Jessica!! This was the first pod I found on my sober journey and it’s been a great tool along the way. Being sober is cool. All sober girls rule. <3

    Relatable stories and experiences
Really enjoy, listening to Jessica and her guests. I find them helpful, refreshing and therapeutic!
  • ARtunefreak
    Host uses poor judgment occasionally
Was enjoying the first episode until the host read an ad for gummies. I’m pro marijuana … but the host said “anti-anxiety” meds made her feel anxious, alluding that these could be a replacement. Does she mean a typical antidepressant? She didn’t specify. I would not heed that advice, but it was thoughtless and could be harmful. And enough for me to write this and delete the podcast.

Good guests but not great interviewer
I like this podcast for the stories the guests have to tell. However I find the interviewer talks over the guests a lot and does a lot of “mhmm” and “ok” while the guests are speaking which makes it quite hard to listen to. It just comes across quite awkward and uncomfortable a lot of the time. She’s doing a good job but could just let the guests talk and make sure only one person is speaking at a time.

    Not my favorite
I absolutely cannot connect with the host. And I honestly feel like there’s just a lot of rambling and not much preparation. Lots of repetition and also made up words. It just felt all over the place and not very helpful.

Love the positive & sober energy!

    Sober Girl’s Guide???
Host is a terrible interviewer who thinks smoking pot is part of a person’s sobriety journey. This is literally not the definition of being sober. Host also blocked me on IG when I had the nerve to point this out.

    bad audio
girl needs an audio tech! the constant grain in the background makes it hard to concentrate on what jessica is saying :(

    Episode 174: Layers of sobriety
This one was amazing! You guys sound like old friends. Your discussion was exactly what I’m dealing with right now and was very helpful. Learning from those who have worked through the anger, resentment and digging deep to where it came from was awesome. Thank you!
  • Conscious_Marketing_&_PR

    Uncomfortability
Dear Jess, There is no such word as “uncomfortability”. The word is “discomfort”. Ok podcast; but, it drives me nuts when she uses this made-up word. And she uses it A LOT!

    Love
I started from current moving back to the beginning. Jessica does such an excellent job of letting each guest freely speak their truth… what’s works for them…. What doesn’t work… not a one size fit all disease & this podcast is a great example of this …. Love this podcast!
  • Isis aka boltup07
    Thank you!
I’m 2 days away from one week sober. This podcast is really opening my eyes and confirming this is my path. I learn a lot from each podcast and have a lot in common with not only the guests but the host. Thank you so much for this podcast. I never thought I would run into a cute show like this about sobriety.

    Amazing host
One of few podcasts where the host is an amazing interviewer! Empathetic, asks the right questions & good responses. She knows when to add personal stories and when not to. The flow of the podcast is great too.
  • txgirlash
    Thank you
This is my first podcast hosted to me when I started to try to get sober. I haven’t drank since 27 2021. I love all the different topics and guests and truly am grateful.

I absolutely love that Melissa was your guest!! She has been a huge inspiration to me for years. I feel my path to being alcohol free started when I did the whole 30 for the first time years ago❣️ I absolutely love the host and all the inspiration she brings♥️

    Rambling interviewee
Started out ok but was so disappointed by the rambling and tangential account of this woman’s life. Like listening to old people talk about their ailments. Ugh. Learned nothing.

    Spreading The Message
This podcast spreads the message of hope through recovery that I so desperately need to hear right now. I especially loved the Laura McKowen episode where Jess and Laura explore the dark underbelly of drunk mommy culture. As I work to heal my own open wound into a scar, this pod offers the hot goss I need. Thank you! ❤️

    Thankful for this Podcast!
I’ve always thought I was alone in my struggle with alcohol as a woman - I’ve been so enlightened and I love listening to all the stories and realizing there are so many women out there just like me! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    The Jessica Show...
I really wish that the host would let her guests speak and tell their stories.

    Drunk White Girls Club
It’s a lot of off topic back and forth. Recovery applies to alcohol only so if you are recovering from the different compulsions that come from other drugs, ehh nothing for you. If you are a recovering drunk white girl who says “namaste” and can afford to go to yoga retreats in Bali then you’ll fit in here

    Time just flies
Such a great show! The Heather and Kelsey episode was so fun; I could have listened to all you girls for hours. I related to so much you all touched on. Thanks for all your work and putting this out there!

    Love!
Love this podcast, so much good information and tools for keeping our sobriety. While I quit booze as a choice not a necessity, this podcast helps keep me accountable for my choices. Thank you!
  • jacqui3mo
    Love the podcast
I couldn’t have related to your most recent podcast regarding identity crisis more. I’m recently changing professions and had all of the same feelings that you described in the episode. It made me feel so much better about the transition and who I am becoming… I am nearly 10 months sober and I am so grateful. You are awesome and I really appreciate your honesty! Thank you, Jacqui

    Saving me!
This podcast is amazing!! Jessica is such a inspiration and such a open book! I love her and all that she is about. Her podcast, Instagram, and Facebook group is really helping me through my recovery. I am on my journey now and I’m having my good and bad days. But in any of those days (good or bad) I know I can plug my headphones in and listen to one of her podcast and escape for a bit and it helps me get through! Thank you so much! Much love ❤️
  • Clcjzl
    Every episode has gems!
Jess’ style is natural. Her guests are perfectly human. I find a takeaway, validation, or laughs (maybe tears!) in every episode. So refreshing and much appreciation for the work that goes into creating this!

    Top 10
I love hearing others stories, hearing how they overcame obstacles and whats in each of their recovery tool box. Jessica is a fun, bright, bubbly host. This is definitely one of my top 10 podcasts.

  • Lisa Tahir
    Love this podcast!
Jessica is a wonderful host. She’s tuned into her guests, and brings out the core of why they are doing what they so so that we can benefit.
  • lauren8786
    Lots of great guests
Love having another podcast about sobriety geared towards a younger audience. The guests are great and clearly a lot of work is put into the podcast. My only criticism is that it’s sometimes hard to listen to because the guests continually get interrupted (which I certainly don’t think is the intent!) even with Jessica just trying to politely acknowledge what they’re saying. I’ve found it’s so frequent and disrupts the flow of the interviews a lot in my opinion. Otherwise it’s great!
  • pokiedots
    Down to earth conversations.
It's a good place to get some perspective on your sobriety.
