    I love to listen to Podcasts that discuss different topics, especially about healthy living, I just discovered this one. I have listened to a few episodes and I already love it! Carolyn is such an inspiration and motivation for my journey into a healthier lifestyle. Thank you Carolyn, I listen to your podcasts not just when I’m walking, but also on Saturdays when doing laundry, cleaning the house, etc. You’re podcasts is awesome! Karen Martinez

    I listen at 1.25x
    Maybe it’s just me (I’m an avid podcast consumer, and this is the only podcast that I feel the need to speed up), but I recommend listening to this one at 1.25x for the right energy level. Of course, then the timing won’t match up if you’re trying to walk a specific amount of time. It doesn’t bother me - I discovered this in 2024, so there are hundreds of past episodes, and I can listen to multiple episodes as I try to walk 45 minutes per day. And if a particular topic doesn’t suit me, I’ve got lots of others to skip to.

    I began listening to this podcast in 2020, every time I took a walk I would get caught up on an episode. I quickly listened to them all after my binge, and now listen every week. I’m still here so that’s really saying something! Carolyn talks about not just walking, but overall health in an approachable, fun way. She throws in her own personal anecdotes, as well as has fun and interesting guests on the show. Every week is different, and I really enjoy her calm, soothing demeanor (and she is also really punny!) I love that she doesn’t get all angry about things or political- she just focuses on the “small steps” we can take in our day to day lives to become happier and healthier versions of ourselves. As long as the show is here, I will be a fan and will be listening. Thank you Carolyn for all of your hard work!

    I enjoyed walking with this podcast for two full episodes today on this gorgeous Fall day. I was very motivated by listening to carolyn encourage us to keep moving and explain all the benefits why to do so. i began walking 05 Mar 2020. I have lost 60 lbs, feel great snd have kept it off since 2022. Truly brings me alot of enjoyment and peace and allows me to walk my farm and enjoy nature. Thank you, Carolyn!

    I’ve been listening to and enjoying your podcast for about a year and a half. Walking is one of the most important things in my life that I focus on. I used to be a runner until I had a back injury. I wanted to thank you for the fun lighthearted episodes that encourages people to walk even if it’s just for 5 minutes. After listening to your show today I am going to say goodbye to you. My belief is that God made us all in His image and we did not evolve from Apes as you eluded to. I was surprised you included your evolutionary beliefs in your show but such is life. Take care and keep walking.

I wanted to thank you for not throwing all RDs under the ‘bus’. I actually choose not to be a member of AND for many of the reasons you mentioned. I have an obligation and oath to follow ethical principles and practices when providing nutrition education and care to my clients. Thank you for keeping your transparency and integrity in your profession as well.     I find this podcast extremely motivating for making small changes to optimize my health, which is the main theme of the podcast. Coach Carolyn has simple and easy to follow suggestions and presents a wealth of information to help us make informed decisions about lifestyle changes, including walking but also other healthy habits. She is around my same age and understands the challenges of mid life. I also find her voice very pleasant to listen to!

    Recently found this podcast and really enjoy it! Especially appreciated the Imposter No More episode with Dr. Jill Stoddard. What really resonated with me was such a candid conversation about how we need to be aware of the values we want to model to our children even in our failures. And the P.A.V.E. method to build psychological flexibility is invaluable. Tons of amazing takeaways in this episode!

    Informative!
    I appreciate your podcast so much. I addition to going to my local gym to exercise, I also go to the local community college track to walk 3-4 times a week. While I listen to other podcasts during my walk, you can best be sure that I listen to Wellness While Walking too! The topics are so informative and it helps keep me company and makes my walk more enjoyable. Keep up great work.

    Inspired to make a change
    I’ve been listening to this podcast since August and Carolyn has inspired me to get back into a walking routine. Since then, I’ve reset my morning routine to include a daily walk of at least 30 minutes, but usually closer to 45 minutes. It’s an awesome way to start my day. Always informative and thought provoking, I look forward to listening to this podcast each week in my walking rotation.

    Some of the guests have good information and credibility. Some just spread utterly nonsense. Hard to believe that they are promoted on podcasts. You have to be your own boss, search for variety of information from various sources to make best judgment and best wellness decisions for you.

    I thought I had reviewed Caroline's amazing podcast long ago, but wanted to update it. I never, ever miss one of her shows and if I do I go back and listen to a few at a time. They are terrific in so many ways. One thing I like the most is they give me the permission to be gentler on myself about my health and fitness goals-both i'm the information presented and in Carolines's friendly, calming, gentle way of speaking. She makes me feel better about all my food and fitness issues from binge eating disorder, to body dysmorphia, to just not liking to exercise. Her show makes me want to get up and move, at least take that gentle walk and makes me feel ok if it's just a stroll for movement and not always a power walk. Her topics are interesting but what's best is her sincerity and friendly, relatable, open manner. Five stars and I recommend this podcast to everyone.

    Carolyn's approach is realistic and sustainable
    There are so many things I love about this podcast, but at the top of my list is the fact that it's consumable, meaning it's not too long and the perfect amount of time for a walk that I can fit into my day. I also think Carolyn and her guests make suggestions, share ideas, and advocate for change in a very realistic and sustainable way. And lastly, I love hearing and learning from a variety of guests on a variety of topics. I'm always curious aout what will be next and what nugget I might walk away with. Highly recommend.

    Rekindled my love of learning for the sake of learning!
    I am an educator, so teaching and learning are part of the fabric of my life. However, because I spend so much time learning for professional purposes and for specific purposes and outcomes, I rarely take the opportunity to learn just because. That has changed with Carolyn’s podcast! I LOVE to walk, and with the addition of Carolyn’s voice, talking pace, quirky sense of humor and her guests’ content, I am learning while walking! I am doing two things that I love simultaneously! And, the added benefit that I am learning about health related topics-“in the broadest sense of the word” to quote Carolyn-I most often find something relevant and timely to my own life. I HIGHLY recommend this podcast!

    Very informative and understandable
    I’ve just started walking daily for 3-4 miles. I was looking for something to add education and information while walking so I didn’t get bored with it. I listened to a couple other wellness podcasts and to be honest, they just gave me anxiety. They talked to fast and over each other. I find these podcasts, informative, relaxing, motivating and fun.     Thanks to this show I’ve rediscovered my love of wellness learning, my husband and I started a vegetable garden, I have worked walking into my routine, I’ve kept up with strength and conditioning classes virtually, and we’ve reduced alcohol to a minimum and are drinking more smoothies for hydration and more!

    Wellness While Walking podcast makes it easy to learn while incorporating movement into my life on a daily basis. I never used to listen to things while on my walks.     I enjoy this podcast. I do walk for exercise and listen podcast. During COVID-19 I spend more time walking as I need breaks in the middle of the day with Virtually meeting after meeting. I need more variety in podcast and found this one and enjoy it. Not too long and relevant topics. Just finished listening to 10000 steps myth or mandatory. I have to admit I do try to do 10000 a day and for me that works to motivate me to get up and walk. Thanks for this podcast

    And I love Carolyn’s voice and gentle, calming tone which bring happiness all by themselves. I’m a walker and it’s really the only exercise I get. I enjoy listening to this show not only when I’m walking but also when I’m not, because it inspires me to get up and move, as well as reminds me to be gentle with myself: regarding not just fitness, but everything.     This is one of the very few truly informative walking podcasts, if not the only one I have yet seen/heard. Very innovative. I just recently subscribed and have started listening to each episode, starting from the beginning as I take my early morning walks. I love how Coach Carolyn truly does her research and uses quality medical journals, writings and such from established institutions, rather than just winging it, to back up her approach to wellness in each podcast episode. I also like how she incorporates her own life experiences in her “talks”. Her gentle approach, as opposed to “in your face” is what we all need now. Highly recommend. Good work and keep those episodes coming.
