Nurse-midwife AliMy weekly retreatI wait all week for Bewildered where Ro & Marty help me retreat to back to my senses through laughter, fresh ideas, and authentic being.
-
✨Mer💫I like it!!!!!Marty & Ro have such lovely chemistry! They are HILARIOUS together and their thoughtful conversations always engage my curiosity and creativity. Listening to Bewildered makes me feel connected to all the other butterflies who are committed to finding one’s inner wildness while living in a culture that celebrates conformity. Apparently, today, only words that begin with “c” will do. Cheers!

laklottoSurprising funnySo deep and yet so funny and relatable. Adore their dynamic.

authenticity71Great podcast!I always feel like I’m safe in a cozy space with compassionate, sane and funny friends when I listen!

HeidiK85Love this podcastI love, love, love Marty and Ro (I can call them that because they feel like friends 🙃). They align with my way of be-ing and they always make me smile.

IknowdorothyArt is why I get up in the morningWhat a wonderful world to inhabit, even for a few minutes. This realistic view of a chaotic universe offers authenticity and peace. So grateful to hear truth and a bit of silliness can abide in dark times. Cheers!

Neon-wreckageElevates me 💗So much love and gratitude for this beautiful podcast. As a late diagnosed neurodivergent woman (who struggles with self-denial), when I listen to this podcast, I remember who I am and it brings me so much joy to have found my people (and myself again). Thank you! 🙏🥰

L23trainA Legend In Her Own RightI learned about Martha Beck and her work on We Can Do Hard Things and was absolutely fascinated when I listened to the first podcast. Martha Beck is such an exquisite human and how she shares her heart, the knowledge she collects and studies over her years and the warmth and tenderness in her expression. I want to be like Martha Beck when I grow up! As a vocal coach which somewhat falls into the arena of therapist, I aspire to be the coach that she is. And as someone who has struggled with anxiety all my life, after reading Beck’s book, I am believe that I can be healed forever.

jillybeeeeeJill and MollyI listen to each episode sometimes twice! Martha and Ro have helped to change how I now live my life- with integrity, authentic, and natural- I finally understand what living life in the “culture “ means - how stepping out has given me the peace I’ve been searching for for. Hugs to your whole family! Nothing short of miracles😘😘😘😘😘

kphusmaI get so much out of this podcastI get so much out of this podcast, just wanted to give back in a very small way to help get the word out to others, especially those who may not resonate with the dominant culture.

AHealthWarriorThe Four-Day WinI have used, recommended, and revisited “The Four-Day Win” many times over the years. I have been listening to the Bewilldered podcast lots over the past few months. I have heard Martha say a few times to not read her book “The Four-Day Win”. On the podcast, she didn’t clarify why she doesn’t recommend the book. It has stuck in my head to the point that I felt the need to reach out for clarification. I am wondering how her thinking has evolved on this subject. I would love to learn more about your current views on the mental, emotional, and physiological components of body size and health. Thank you in advance for your response. Enjoy another beautiful day.
-
kwisgirdaSilly quirky vulnerable messy warm ….with a place for snark. The banter here is a great advertisement for orienting to reality. Thank you Rowan and Martha.
-
Bit of a weird energyAnyone else get the feeling that Rowan doesn’t like Martha? No? Just me? Okay lol
-
holisticcoupleLove this podcast, a breath of fresh air!I have been listening to this podcast on my daily walks and it’s been an incredible companion as I connect and align with my true self. Their combined vulnerability, generosity, and willingness to share their journeys allows me to feel deeply seen and understood. This podcast brings me hope, which right now in our world, I believe to be the most important currency. Thank you Martha and Rowan! I’m 28 now and can only hope to be as wise as you all when I am your respective ages.
-
A . GadLove this podcastMartha Beck and this podcast came into my life just when I needed it most. Reading Martha’s wisdom in her books sent me down a rabbit hole of wanting to discover everything she has ever done. (Not unlike Diana!) And this podcast has been such a blessing. The topics are always good and pertinent to my journey. Getting to know Rowan has been delightful, her adventurous wild spirit speaks to my soul. Keep on doing what you’re doing. You’re helping folks stay true to their own wild selves. Thank you.

DJSlowRainbowFade/FingersThe episode about urgencyI am deeply healed by this episode. So many things you said were things I was already aligning in but telling the difference between fear based urgency and creative urgency is so reassuring.
-
completely happy customer!Love Everything!I love everything about this show! Information, insight, life lessons , but Most of all the laughter and Fun!!!♥️♥️♥️
-
Curious, scared and laughingCahootI always love listening to Martha and Row. They have helped me to challenge culture on an almost daily basis. I especially loved the idea of a chahoot because challenging our long held assumptions is a little easier if we feel less alone and of course retain a sense of curiosity and humor. Thanks for always making my day!
-
Mo in CoHilarious and RealA new episode of Bewildered always feels like a delicious chocolate I can’t wait to unwrap. Marty and Ro are so freakin’ hilarious just by telling their lives they way they are! This podcast (along with The Gathering Pod) has sparked a whole new lexicon among a few kindred spirit friends where we drop Marty-and-Ro-isms as shorthand for sharing moments of synchronicity or moments of following our senses instead of culture. In particular, I appreciate how Marty and Ro are obviously gurus and human forms of higher powers for our time, AND totally foibled neurotic hilarious nut jobs. Because how could you be latter day Buddhas and not be!! Thank you for sharing foibles and eternal truths in the same conversations.
-
nukkanukkaFreedom, for realI have been spent most of my life trying to find ME, and part of that process has included following, listening to, and watching others who seem to have found themselves. Martha and Rowan immediately stood out to me as those kind of people. They practice and embody a kind of freedom and understanding of the world that is contagious and inspiring to me. As I’ve listened to their stories, thoughts, and struggles, I’ve found greater courage and access to finding myself and my own self-expression. It turns out this is a lifelong practice, and being in community with others who are on the same path is essential. My heart is full of gratitude for the generosity and wisdom of these two humans.
-
Truth_is_hopeStriving to be a ‘wildling’“If it feels good and looks strange you’re on the right path.” The joyful recognition of another who is off the spectrum of culture in some way, as described in the episode called Blowing Up Your Life, is an absolutely perfect way of articulating what draws me to this podcast. The real trick is discovering what feels good to you - I’ll keep listening and learning. Thank you.
-
Coach Jamie P.Wildly charming & perfectly timed. These are the conversations we should all be having! Science, insight, humor… funny animal videos… every time I hit “play” it sincerely feels like it. Thank you both. Love you both. 🖤✨

-
Liza_CoachReally Love This PodcastJust listened to the episode with Karen - absolutely my favorite! So many beautiful insights - especially the parts about love being freedom and unconditional. Amazing! Please bring her back! Love the entire show and get so much from listening. ❤️
-
Perpetual Pod PeruserAnnoying and ramblingI have always loved hearing Martha Beck as a guest on other podcasts I listen to. But I was disappointed find that as hosts, there feels like no focus. I gave up after the first 20 min - they were talking about their life & anecdotes & a random joke and on and on. I just found the whole thing annoying. I guess I’ll get Martha’s content on other shows where there’s a host to focus the conversation.
-
Kmc5555555555555All the loveThank you so much Marty and Ro for sharing your experiences, insights, love, wisdom, and laughter! I have learned so much from you both and feel more connected to my essential self/true nature than ever before. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

NZCANMLove!Toddler Jet Lag was my first episode and I’m hooked. Thanks for sharing deeply and exploring concepts that affect us all. And inspire us to individual action. I’m still terrified for our 10 months first flight but asking myself the question “why go” and coming up with some really interesting answers. Plus it’s only domestic.
-
Wee Flower FarmerFOMOYou had me @ Flock of Magical Otters! Enjoy the podcast immensely.
-
AbbyC222best podcast everI love ya Ro and Martha! Having your vibration available in the daily is such a saving grace for me in my life- and the best reminder to seat myself back into my integrity. Thank you for being so transparent and honest. 💙
-
MelissawritesSpot on!I’m new to the show but am so attracted to the intelligence, honesty, and straight talk. Doesn’t seem to be the often heard chatty proving yourself I am cute show. Rather the I am sitting with myself and you as openly and forthrightly as possible. Seems a show that can prompt real, profound, positive change. Thank you!!
-
Annabanana-6So relatableI am a scientist a lesbian, and have ADHD- this podcast has been a real comfort to me because I relate so strongly with the quirky, smart Martha. And, I am inspired by the love and acceptance shown by Rowan for her in all her glorious oddness. I loved Martha’s book The Joy Diet years ago and this podcast was a special find. She is teaching me self acceptance and even pride rather than shame for the way that I am. And I have to say that although I’m happily married to my own wife, I have a crush on Rowan with the cute things she says and her inflections - I can’t get enough of her saying that we should leave a review “especially if it’s Apple” and that she wouldn’t object to our leaving 6 stars- so here they are! ******
-
MiffMuffMy New Favorite PodcastThese are among my most favorite people to listen to for wise and thoughtful commentary, and sense of connection and community. I am delighted to have found this podcast. It is soul sustenance.
-
NicolePhotoOne of my favorite podcasts! This podcast provides so much light in my life. I love listening to Martha and Rowan’s conversations and musings about culture. The way they laugh together always makes me laugh. It makes me want to hang out with them and have cool conversations. I always look forward to new episodes. As a mother of two young boys, my days are spent listening to stories about farts and video games. Thank you for breaking up the monotony and giving me the interesting discourse I so desperately need!
-
NieztejziemiWitt and joy delightI don’t think I am “bewildered” but listening to your podcast I wish I was. Having been on a quest to reconnect with my true essence for years I find your conversations both reassuring and enlightening. Your podcast is a real gem, a perfect match of wisdom and humor. I always feel welcome.
-
danafrostA podcast for the ages!I was trained as a Like Coach-Master Life Coach model in 2007-09 in the early days of Martha Beck’s coaching program. Her insights and training transformed my life but most importantly equipped me to transform my own life during the perpetual change process over the past nearly twenty years. The recent episode about Square 4 of the change cycle and the never arriving-ness resonated.
-
Leigh Annie AnnieThank you!Amazingness
-
Coach MollyMy People! Hilarious and HelpfulI LOVE and so appreciate the episodes where Rowan asks Martha to “fix her” because I can generally so relate to how Rowan is feeling - especially being a 40yr old toddler mom, myself! I love listening to these episodes in the morning. They make me laugh and help me start my foray off with less negative self-talk. And, I love binge listening to these on plane rides. So good! Thank you, both! You are a treasure!
