xNedFlandersxWhere it wentLove this pod aside from the fact that the Greg dude is constantly interrupting guests and co-hosts mid sentence. It gets annoying. We get it… you sang in One Up.. move on. Keep it up!

LiskrocksBest pod in town. The definitive conversation on all things Revelation Records.
-
riffian666Where it wasn’tTried listening to this podcast. It’s pretty clear the hosts weren’t even old enough to attend a real hardcore show. Posers.

LIKEGHEEMy favorite HC - Rev. My favorite HC podcast - WIWAll I can say is if you grew up on hardcore, this feels like a shared language, and sometimes like the weird ones twins make up. Very much appreciated, and makes me circle back every time. I like that it’s not just fanning out and like an honest dissection and criticism from everyone involved.

pete dunzoGreat show. One of the best music podcasts out there. For someone like me that grew up with these records this is awesome. I can’t wait for the Kiss It Goodbye episode!!!!

Bram NYCHardcore DelightI’m loving this podcast. Jav, Jason, and Greg really engage in conversations with the musicians about the writing process of these records. They let the performers tell stories about the chemistry that produced the records or made the early shows special. I also appreciate that there aren’t endless arguments about which is the best song - they understand that while one of them may love X song on the record the most, that other folks will have a different hot track. And most importantly, they avoid getting into the weeds about vinyl pressings.

GunnyHighway88A podcast worth listening toI have never been able to hang with any podcast for more than a couple of episodes. But this one is great. Look forward to hearing more.

OPFORGreat interviews, too much banterHaving lived through the hay day of many of these bands, the interviews are really insightful. As a fan, I had no exposure to the inner workings of the bands and the interviews really get into the nitty gritty. Super cool to hear this 30+ years later. My only criticism: the pre & post interview banter between the hosts. In an hour and half interview, these guys spend half of it talking to each other. Not for nuthin’, stick to the interviews and save the analysis for the off-air time.

TurboDeProvoThe biddip bo-iest!I love this podcast! I know it’s good bc I pull out whatever was discussed immediately after listening. Like, some of these I haven’t listened to in decades, and it’s a great reminder just important they are. But at the same time, it just sounds like a bunch of friends talking, in a good way. So much fun. Can’t recommend highly enough.
-
deepxsleepThe best!Great podcast! I hope Joe HC is a guest soon.
-
LazzzzzzaredGreat Podcast, terrible intro musicThese guys do a great job talking about music so why is the intro music so bad? Fix this. Please. The most irritating part of this podcast. I’m gonna keep listening but for the love of god do a better job with intro music!

Rev RulesThe best there is the best there was the best there ever will beMan. What can I say. My absolute favorite podcast. Informative, entertaining, & fun. I look forward to a new episode every week. Listen to this if you like things that are good. & Jav you gotta stick with the “YO” intro! I need a “Where it Went” suit. BIDIP BO!

Bud Selig's Tighty WhitiesToo LongThis should be a tight 25-30 minutes. Know what you want to say about the records and say it. Rambling for two hours about hardcore in general is a waste of time. This podcast was a big disappointment for me, who’s part of the relatively narrow audience that might have enjoyed it.
-
mr. matthewSo far, so good. A minor annoyance is addressed in the review.I’m enjoying the podcast. It’s fun to revisit past hardcore greats. Would like to hear a little less glad handing and gushing on about of every guest, release, sponsor, and present podcasters. I do like the personal connections to the songs very much. Keep up the great stuff.
-
DaveGCFPretty cool.Just checked out the first episode. Pretty cool. I was at the record release show for the Warzone 7”, but actually got the record 2 nights before that when they played the Anthrax and Ray threw a handful of them into the crowd. Still have it...it’s currently hanging on the wall of my living room. Looking forward to the next one...that record is also on the wall. Picked it up outside a show at Irving Plaza(?), where cappo was selling them.

This Nickname is Taken, Please Choose Another FukkoBest hardcore podcast goingGreg, Jason and crew bring have great chemistry with their guests and make a very INSIGHTful conversation each episode. No pretense, just enthusiastic fans breaking down the Discogs if one of the most revered hardcore record labels of the 80’s and BEYOND. Highly recommended... DEW IT!

sdafadfbvstThis podcast <rayCappo> raarraaaaarrraaarules </rayCappo>This podcast caused me to start re-buying all the Rev records on vinyl. So, thanks for that, I didn’t need that money or anything.

DestroythemachinesThis Pod RocksThe best hardcore podcast currently running? I think so! The best thing about this podcast to me is the structure. Having expectations for content, keeping it within an hour, and having an agenda set this podcast on the right track. This is perfect for a Type A hardcore nerd like me and checks off boxes for interesting, insightful, and engaging. Not to mention, Javier & Greg are fun to listen to, don’t claim to be experts, and keep it going with great guests! I love the balanced blend of research and personal opinions and origin stories. Can’t wait to see how this series continues to unfold.

Billy 123Go!Now THIS is essential! From collectors to casuals, hardcore kids of all stripes will love this podcast. Fantastic job from these guys pulling in some unique voices from each release. It gives each record a little more life, (even the ones I slept on). The Where It Went crew goes a long way to make this podcast sound and feel great. Some really great takes on openness and inclusivity. Hardcore is about community, not what records you have, and these guys embody that.

Zack NelsonYea!This pod rules

ocrecsNerding out but not too nerdyI love this podcast. Is the highlight of my commute to work during the week. Hosts have great chemistry and does not get overly nerdy so people are are not total fanatics for Rev will still enjoy. Give it is listen.
-
mikedv1984Love it!This podcast is amazing. The hosts basically give a hardcore history lesson on each episode.

momszillaCrucial Pandemic PodDespite Javier’s take on Breakdown, this is an exceptional podcast.
-
donnyxmuttSolid listen!A very interesting podcast about a record label that released a lot of my favorite records growing up. Every week it has been a real pleasure getting to hear about a different album in the Revelation Records catalog in chronological order. Keep up the good work fellas!
-
mack travoltaRock onHell yes. Oddly enough I’ve been listening to Side By Side and Judge all week long, and then I go on No Echo and find out about this. Immediately listened to the Side By Side episode. Shout out to Javier, dude always told cool stories and recommended cool music in the axe to grind and demolisten Facebook groups.
-
AKnepshieldAs one.....virtually speakingThese interviews are giving me a lot of motivation and inspiration to get through these wild times. Hardcore heroes coming through with the deep dives, great memories & stories that mean/t everything. Fantastic podcast about a large (if not, the largest) piece of hardcore history.
-
LarryG_akronStrong work!Great show with enthusiastic hosts! Always a great listen!
-
gowhoastopGreat interviews.Really look forward to each podcast. Great concept and interviews.
-
Truth Be Told 22Ray of Today approved! The boys have done a great job, with a great concept. Those classic Rev releases are what got me into Hardcore, Straigh Edge and Veganism in the late 80's. True Till Death!
-
J.PettiboneSolid dives!!Excellent concept! Thank you!
-
CoreyHowardPowerHourThe podcast I’ve been waiting my whole life forCan’t wait to hear sensefield and damnation ad!
-
VaZ789012Excellent!If you’re into Rev releases and all the details, you’ve come to the right place!!

RaghunathyogiAppreciating thisGood job. Enjoyed the GB interview. Took me back. As far as episode 2 goes - we were gonna name the label schism but we felt Revelation was more of our mood so we dropped it - although “schism” which was a word in the NYHC vocabulary which basically meant trouble/conflict/inauspiciousness (at least that’s the meaning it had on the street) was in the running initially for the label name so we had labels drawn up. Porcell and Alex Brown decides to use it a few years later when the zine/label started. -ray c.

Andy DiehardGet wiseThis podcast rules. Love the deep dives and genuine interest the host have in the records.
-
HE WHO WALKS BEHIND THE ROWSGreat new pod on the Revelation discographyReally enjoying this new pod about the history of Revelation Records. Glad someone is finally doing this. It has me buying a lot of these old records that I used to have or never had on vinyl to begin with. So other then the fact that my wallet is taking a hit, this has been a great addition to my podcast lineup. Keep up the good work dudes!
