I came across the SheSpeaksBravo instagram page and the content was so good I gave the podcast a try! It is now one of my faves. Emily goes really in-depth about all things bravo. She has great cohosts as well. She has quickly become a friend in my head. 4/19/25 Still love Emily and keeping my 5 star rating but her Patreon podcasts are getting shorter and shorter. I went on today and was sooooo excited her Summer House post was up only to see that it was 20 minutes!!!! I am going to hang on a bit longer because Emily is sooooo good at what she does but I do not see myself paying 6 dollars a month for 20 minutes once a week (if we’re lucky).

Emily. I like you. I want to give you 5 stars but you get political and unfortunately you do not speak factually. I can’t understand why you speak on government issues when you have no clue what the truth is. Stick to the other stuff please.

It’s sad to see you’ve become lazy with your recaps & hide most of your episodes behind a paywall bc you no longer want to be original. You copy word for word what smaller/newer podcasters say regarding the shows. Maybe stick to what you think & believe in and don’t put others down for having different point of views. Do your own work and make up your own opinions.

I must disagree with bring on the Paige bandwagon. She’s the controlling one. Everything was her way or she’d get mad. She never met him halfway on Southern Charm like he did on Summer House. And it’s Hannah’s podcast bc she’s the funny one. Paige just rides coattails. And with RHOBH I think Sutton knew Garcelle wasn’t coming back so they started separating do Sutton would continue to have a story line. Dorit and Erika have picked on Sutton long enough. They’re the bullies.

Shoutout to jeccahogan, who left a 3-star tantrum because Emily had the nerve to survive a wildfire, take care of her mental health, and not podcast through personal devastation like a broken vending machine spitting out trauma chips. Yes, Jecca, we all know you were “taught to use exercises” to cope—congrats on your emotional CrossFit. But some of us recognize that stepping back to heal isn’t weakness. It’s strength, something your compassion circuits clearly skipped. This isn’t a hobby, it’s a career—and Emily treats it with more heart, brains, and authenticity than you could squeeze into a thousand passive-aggressive paragraphs. Emily, your real listeners? This used to be my favorite podcast but now there are too many adds. Every moment she gets she gets political. I would really just love to listen to a podcast without ANY politics but it’s all the time.

I used to like this podcast, but every chance Emily gets, she gets political. Are you a proponent of all our laws being broken? ALL laws should be enforced! Period. Just like every single other country in the world. 🙄

It is so refreshing to finally find someone who is smart, hilarious, has an understanding of production, and seems to genuinely care about the people on these shows. Love listening to her takes and find myself agreeing or changing my mind on a lot of the things she brings up. It’s the perfect mindless task background podcast for when you don’t want a screen distracting you.

Love this pod and I’ve enjoyed truly everything I’ love and enjoy the pod and Emily’s comments whether her take totally aligns with my own, as well as when It differs , she shares her thoughts and opinions in a way that I love. Even when certain takes or views on a situation or person differs from my own, I appreciate the way in which she does It and the insight she provides. Emily puts so much work into this podcast , and yet there’s sometimes an effortless feel and ease with her ; listening to her feels like chatting with your bestie. (So many times I’ve found myself messaging a meme to a friend on instagram and wanting to send It to Emily , would love to get to chat with her. Fairly certain I’d listen to Emily recap literally anything, I enjoy her authenticity, her wit and humor always.

I don’t know what is going on with Emily. Last season and this season, she tends to be absent. I get there was a wild fire in LA where she lived, but we didn’t hear from her in three weeks. Her area was not affected, but LA was having problems. Plus, she’s gone because of mental health retreat. That irks me because I was taught to use exercises to deal with challenging issues, not run away from conflicting issues. She was a lot better in the beginning. She was always on time. I don’t know if this is a hobby or this is her career. I hope she gets it together., or tells us it’s a hobby.

If you want engagement and for your listeners to stick around you need to cover the popular shows people are watching. Only covering Summer House, SOHO, and southern Charm behind a pay wall is bad business. I Won’t be listening anymore because what’s the point? There’s 20 mins of ads in each episode and you don’t even cover what majority of the people are watching…. And the shows you do cover (really only Beverly Hills) is rushed and the weekly live show is chaotic and not a good listen. Girl get a better business model.

So many wrong takes, there are way better pods out there to listen to.

Love all of Emily’s takes, but when she said Ava/Abbott exposes the issues with public education, THANK YOU! I’m a teacher and I taught in Philly for my 1st year and it was BRUTAL! I love Abbott, but questioned if people who don’t live in the Philly area would love it as much as I do, so I’m glad you and Kendrick do!

Negativity is not fun. She is negative about shows she likes to watch? Weird vibes. Never will understand why someone would start a pod and then complain so much about the content they choose…

Something about her delivery makes me feel as though I’m talking to good a friend of mine. She does a great job. Emily Hanks has quickly become my favorite Bravo reviewer.

I really love this show overall. I enjoy Emily’s take on the shows and look forward to having Kendrick join her for the weekly wrap up. Keep up the good work!

I love Emily’s analysis of the shows she covers and her personality and humor that comes through every time. I always love to hear her takes - even if I happen to disagree or even if I haven’t watched the show!

I LOVE EMILY HANKS. She’s like the cooler version of me if I wasn’t stuck in the Midwest. Same age, same obsession with pop culture, same love of talking about everything Bravo. In my opinion this is THE BEST Bravo pop culture podcast.

Love this podcast, how many shows it covers. RHOSL impressions are top tier. Emily is super entertaining and really good at what she does.

I just found this podcast, and it’s truly one of the best Bravo/pop culture podcasts around! Emily is right up there with Watch What Crappens and The Brav Bros!

Say something funny. Time stamps are nuts.

Disappointed by labeling a victim and whistleblower as mentally unstable. Speculating that the news program regretted the decision when it’s standard to vet a guest & they knew exactly who they asked to be on the program. Discrediting someone’s word because it sounds crazy to you is dangerous. You don’t have to co-sign it but you’re actively negating things that you have no idea about. Their word was deemed crazy in the past and now there is concrete proof. The lie is more comfortable than the truth. It’s more than just one person with similar accounts. Troy McEady does intense research before giving an opinion on very serious topics. I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1 because there is no personal ill will but a call to reflect, release anger and move forward more thoughtfully.

I enjoy Emily’s takes and her attitude. One of my favorite podcasts for listening to Bravo recaps and news. Thanks Emily, you’re doing a great job! 💖

When you talk about President Obama participating in “freak-offs” that’s when I’m out!

The mean girl bullying to other creators on IG and also putting that hate fueled speech behind a paywall is absolutely ridiculous. Getting other podcasters to hop on the hate train is also ridiculous. You podcasters really think you’re someone special don’t you? Treating your peers like this bc you have a large following that’ll listen to your complaints. You’re a mean spirited person w/ no real sense of knowledge; your entire podcast (& online personality), much like your IG, is based off your only emotion…anger.

A lot of bizarre use of AAVE, a lot of diet talk and equating thinness to superiority and morality, the episodes have gotten a lot shorter and less consistent, not covering a lot of bravo shows (Dubai, rhonj), pia who was crucial to the podcast is now gone. I want to hang in there bc I used to really look forward to it.

But where’s Pia!!!

I would say I generally like this, but it is pretty clear the host takes a beat and reads the commentary and then forms their opinion. I started listening a bit earlier, but now that it is so obvious, it kind of makes it harder to get by listening. It’s weird to form your opinion after asking your guest what they think.

Just gross - gross - gross

Used to love this show. Not so much anymore. It’s not her content, the bravo recaps are good. She’s just very judgemental and calls for bullying of anybody who isn’t extremely left leaning. She’s got typical “privileged white presenting” takes. Anybody who has different political views shes speaks of like they’re subhuman.

She has said many problematic things and although she likes to think she is “woke” she is a misogynist and kind of racist. One time she talked about how she looks white but of course “lucky her” the one Mexican thing she has is her frizzy hair. How dare you! I’m not Mexican but I am a brown Hispanic woman who loves what she looks like and people like you are the problem. You wish you had more Latin in you!! But I guess if what you love about yourself is how basic you look, good for you. You’re not my people and you’re also a user. Keep using Pia and not tagging her! Great friend you are!
