Azizah and Candace attempt to discuss fountain pens, nibbage, and stationery; much hilarity ensues. I would listen to ANY topic they choose but I’m glad they enlighten me on things happening on their writing instrument journey. Sorry Azizah but I’m Team Candace with fine/extra fine nibs (for now?). Search for the YouTube episodes; the duo (and infrequent cameos by Chi) are even funnier on screen. Azizah thanks for interviewing Drew Brown, it’s good to see him. Great discussion and I appreciate the vulnerability you both displayed on that show. The after show prequel is zany, too! Props and shout out to producer Chi! 👏👏 N.B. — If you ever synchronize the opener, I may stop listening. I know it’s goofy but I crack up at every opening. 🤣

I just discovered this podcast and am totally addicted to this duo’s positive and enthusiastic energy. There rapport is so uplifting, and I find my face smiling continuously whilst listening. I would recommend this podcast to any pen or ink lover - there is no pomp or pretentiousness, it is truly refreshing. Although I would listen to these wonderfully intelligent humans no matter what the subject, their respect for materials, makers and creators, and, real-life experience within the industry, makes for an educational and entertaining listen. Oh my GOD, this show! Candace and Azizah are so much fun together; not only does their endearing devotion to fountain pens come through, but they make me laugh out loud literally every episode. One thing I particularly appreciate about them is that, although they agree on some things, they also differ in opinion in a fun and interesting way, ie. for Azizah, the broader the nib, the better, whereas Candace is all about those fines and extra fines. It makes for much more interesting conversations and broadens my understanding of what’s possible in the pen world. They feel like friends I just haven’t met yet, which is exactly their stated goal. More than anything, I love how they lean in to some of the girlier sides of a fountain pen hobby - something that has always been missing for me with a lot of the other pen podcasts out there. I met Chi at the 2024 DC Pen Show when she was recording one of the classic Gourmet Pens Club Pen Show Vendor “Welcome”, and have binged all 45 episodes in the past week. Can’t WAIT for the next one!!

Azizah and Candace are two very talented women who exude joy and enthusiasm for their craft with this semimonthly audio offering. They create a very informal, hang-out like atmosphere for their listeners covering a wide array of fountain pen-related topics which are very informative and include experience-based opinions. Links are provided to the topics presented that offer the listener an inspiring visual aspect to the podcast. The show is elegantly produced by another accomplished woman named Chi who occasionally participates in the conversation as well. Quite possibly the most entertaining quality is their very humorous, personal quirk-sharing when it comes to their fountain pen hobby . . . ummm . . . obsession!

This is my new favorite pen podcast. I love the content and the hosts. The topics are so fun and informative!

Azizah and Candace work so well together. Your back and forth is very smooth. I really love the show. You both are very informative and make this show fun as well. The only problem I have is I want everything you talk about. FOMO. Lol. Keep up the great work here. I have to agree with Azizah on a certain pen company that needs to have better nib and feed control. Had issue with an MB pen not writing. I had it taken care of and the pen writes beautiful now.

Azizah & Candice are a joy to listen too. Their passion for all things pens as well as their lively banter and friendship makes you feel as if you’re sitting right there chatting about pens. Can’t wait for the next episode!
