This is one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to. I have always adored you!

This is one of my absolute favorite podcasts! I smile every time I listen and appreciate Julia's honesty, humor, and joy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Julia, and your precious mom and all your guests, for giving us all the gifts you give through this podcast. I have garnered so much wisdom, and I’ve absolutely enjoyed getting to know new dimensions of people I admire, including you. People who make a difference in our world. I must say, though, that now that I’ve listened to every episode, I am in a major funk, just waiting for new content. I will celebrate the day of the new season!

Julia is just SUCH a fabulous interviewer. I love how she ties in stories at the beginning of the episodes with her guest. You can tell she makes them so comfortable & is so kind. And calling her “mommy” at the end of each episode!! 🥹🥹🥹 I will listen to her til the end of time.

Absolutely love this podcast. It brings me so much joy! I just adore that Judith Bowles every “hi mommy!” feels like I’m getting tucked into bed. I’d love to write a letter to this show with questions if I could!

Why do famous people need to make shows interviewing other famous people? What is this dystopian world where the general population has nothing to say and will just consume anything the celebrity class produce? Are you guys just like obsessed with yourselves? Tired of the narcissus class thinking we care to hear you in endless loops of interviewing one another. Maybe regular people who are not in the public eye are the actual heroes who celebrities and politicians should be listening to. What a concept.

Love her podcasts! So enlightening, heart-warming, spunky! Looking forward to another season! I believe you were involved in the LA fires and I hope your family is safe!

This podcast is incredible! It has made me, laugh, cry, think deeply, try new things, and makes me so happy. I lost my mom 2 years ago and the wisdom from Julia and all her guests gives me hope and is so enriching. Judith Is the best way to end, she has a wonderful perspective. When she read “Wild Geese,” I listened to it over and over. She read it so beautifully. I ended up sharing the poem with a number of people. I can’t say enough good about this and look forward to many more!

As a 50-something woman this podcast is such a gift. I listen alone, and I listen with my teen daughter. I lost my mom when I was just out of college, and I crave older, wiser women in my life to fill that void. This podcast gives me the laughs and wisdom and food for thought that I lack. Also, your mom is just the best way to end each one. And when she read Wild Geese broke me, in all of the right ways.

The guests are incredible, the conversations genuine and engaging. Julia’s sincerity and respect of her guests is touching. And her laugh, God I love her laugh! The follow-up zoom with Mommy is the best ending!

Have enjoyed all these interviews, especially that of Isabella Rossellini! How insightful!!!!! WOW! Can’t more highly recommend this pod cast!

Every episode is a shot of wit, wisdom and inspiration. Julia asks the questions I’d ask and makes me feel I’m in the room with them. Thank you, Julia, for making us laugh (especially in these times) and for allowing us to learn from these wisdom warriors. Also, love the closing convos with your mum!

Julia is an authentic, genuine, hilarious woman with an appreciation for wisdom, carried by her older sisters. I’m not there yet, but I so love learning about the journeys, failures and successes of these fascinating iconic women. PS Julia swears a lot.😌

Who can’t be beautiful at 20, 30, 40 or even 50, 60? Ah, but to be wise takes a lot of time and ageing. Thank you for listening to us and your dear of a mother, bless her, for having you! Always liked JLD as a performer. I enjoy the podcast and the guests. I don’t care about the swearing. If you watched her in Veep one has to know she is fluent in cuss words. She can over talk the guest at times and inject too much of her personal experiences and distracts a bit from what the guest is saying but I gather she is having a conversation with this person and not really interviewing. What I am most surprised about is that she has now jumped on the band wagon of adding premium excerpts of the interview for a subscription price. JLD is one of the wealthiest actors out there. Generational wealth coupled with a lucrative acting career has made her a lot of money. Why does she need to squeeze any more out of the general female masses in the world.

I love listening to Wiser than me and get very sad when the season ends. I actually fantasize about hanging out with Julia because she seems like a great friend. Hello your show is great but every 10 minutes or so it repeats the first section I am sure someone told you this but right in the middle of a thought it repeats the beginning

This is the kind of content women need! Women from our elders. Julia does such a great job interviewing and the women featured are brilliant, fascinating people. So inspiring, but not in a self helpy, or aspirational way. Thank you for this!!!

I literally cry every time I listen, it makes me feel all the feels. I get inspired, I laugh, I learn. I LOVE Julia’s intro with a connection from her own life to the guest and my very favorite part is where she debriefs with her mom at the end. Mothers and daughters everywhere can relate. I find so much joy in this show!

Deep dives, hard questions, FUNNY. Julia knows when to press her guests for further explanation and real world examples. I am learning and grateful for this podcast.

I love each conversation with these amazing and inspiring women so much. Many I have listened to multiple times. And I so appreciate the moments Julia allows us to share with her mum. Especially having lost my own mother… I love getting to hear their back and forth. I think of my own mum every time. Thank you, Julia, for uplifting the voices of these treasured, wise women.

I have loved this podcast from the beginning. Each episode is a never-fail source of tips and things to think about. Yes, these guests and Julia are living lives that the average person can’t imagine, but they genuinely share their vulnerabilities and what they have learned. My only critique would be less swearing! And thank you for finally putting the episodes into most-recent-first order.

I’m a former journalist and deeply appreciate the way Julia asks her questions. Sometimes discreetly and sometimes just blunt. I love the bookings (such great women) I love the format, the short stories she tells at the top and her mother’s input at the end. Such a fantastic little bonus. The most important through-line for me is all these women are human and I share so much with them. It is heartening. I am retired now and traveling a lot. And may someday write about my experiences as a TV journo, I now feel more encouraged to do this. I believe that what we share with each other as women is critical. The bonds between women are critical and the celebration of our elder years, essential.. Rock on woman. We are all ears. I’m not a podcast person (yet) but for the first time in my life I look forward to cleaning the house.

I’m a Dem but Nancy Pelosi is a disease in the party. She’s too old, she needs to make way for younger talent if she wants to save the party. She has made 100’s of millions from inside trading, she’s out of touch.

UPDATE: STOP MAKING ME CRY. Julia is an awesome interviewer. I learn something new with every episode. It’s funny, touching, a little heartbreaking at times. Truly, I find value in every episode.

I love this podcast. :) Julia Louis-Dreyfus is an elite interviewer. You can feel her excitement talking to the guest. I love the format too..how she talks personally at the beginning and ends with her mom.

As a 69 year old grappling with my own aging, I find these talks quite inspiring. I only wish Julia and her quests would stop using curse words so freely and especially using GD so often. It cheapens an otherwise witty, smart and encouraging interview.

Unsubscribed when I saw more political messages, this time from Pelosi. As if it wasn’t bad enough 99% of the wiser women in the world work in the insulated entertainment industry, now she pushes this unsavory, unlikable bag on the public further. I wonder how many tiny houses Julia and Nancy have added to their estates to house illegal folks looking for shelter here? Anyone??

What a beautiful and brilliant podcast! Thank you so much for having these women on. I’m astounded by their capabilities and by yours.

I cannot express enough the blessing this podcast is to me. The Rita Moreno episode honestly changed my reaction to my awful inner voice. (I’ve named her Eleanor, and she is being sent to her room from this day forward!) Thank you so much for giving us these wonderful women and their wisdom!

I am so happy THIS is who Julia really is. She’s better than any of her characters and is thoughtful and funny. She gets guests that are mind blowing and definitely have advice anyone can use. The one improvement? Could we get her mom to drop some more poetry on us? Please? …and call your mom if you have one♥️

I wish I could recommend these conversations to so many of my friends or listen when in mixed company . But the constant use of vulgarity is distracting from these valuable conversations. It makes me wonder how many of the classy women being interviewed feel about that.

Julia does a fabulous job of interacting with her guests. It’s like listening in on a private conversation, the questions are insightful and the guests are open and honest . Each season is better than the last. Looking forward to season 4.

I don’t often (ever really) write reviews. But, this is more of a thank you! This podcast has been incredibly meaningful for me. I lost my mom 4 years ago (I was 35), and part of my grief has been accepting that I would never be able to speak to her about aging as a woman (she passed when she was 65). So all that to say, thank you for these conversations. I at least now get to hear about aging from a variety of women, and I don’t feel as alone/lost.

The conversation with Rep. Nancy Pelosi is brilliant. I’ve listened to Nancy speak many times. This is the best! Think: eavesdropping on a super interesting conversation happening at a nearby table. Delicious!

I love this show but Nancy Pelosi is everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party. This 84 year old is literally calling the shots in her hospital room to get a 74 year old with cancer in a key democratic position instead of an upcoming and accomplished millennial. We need new leadership and it’s way past Nancy’s time to step aside. If she had retired a decade ago, then I would have liked to listen to this but she is preventing progress in this country. It’s annoying she’s a guest. I’ll pass on this episode.

It is wonderful to get to listen in on conversations with these legends💖 Their lives & experiences have contributed so much to our world. Hopefully we can make them proud. I’m loving every interview
