I’m late to finally giving 5 stars only and writing a review. Hey I was today years old when I figured out how to finally find where to write the review lol. Anyway this is THE sports podcast for Triangle Sports! Whether you are a Duke, Unc, NC State, Canes, or Panthers fan… or a mix of the above - Ovies and Giglio bring the content I look forward to listening to or watching every week as a sports fan. Hey I’m a Duke and Canes fan but I still enjoy the coverage of Unc, State and the ACC to stay in the know. It’s not only the sports content that keeps me coming back to listen to every podcast but it’s the unique conversations they have that truly make this my #1 pod as it feels like a sports pod family. As a guy who runs an outdoor business this pod makes the work week go by that much smoother and for that I’m very thankful. I stopped listening to 99.9 the fan because 1) incredibly long commercials and 2) you could always tell these guys weren’t truly allowed to be themselves. WELL GUESS WHAT…chains are off. Y’all keep being you and keep having fun.

Explicit language adds nothing to the show. Will tune back in once you guys tone it down.

Found Ovies & Giglio a year ago and I’ve loved the way they understand and can speak to local fanbases in their own terms.

I would have given y’all 5 stars, but the constant reference to NC State “stuff” is played. Get some new material. Tired of NC State being your go to punching bag

These two guys were my favorite radio sports personalities pre-podcast. The Podcast format is even better for their style. They have lots of great discussions, especially on local and state sports.

Never been a big fan of the teams that Joe and Joe cover on the pod, but I’m a bigger fan of both guys. Been following Ovies for years, mostly for the hot takes. Been following Giglio for a shorter amount of time, yellow pad is the move! Show is never boring and they keep it moving. Great afternoon pod to get me through the end of the work day! Keep it going Joe’s!

This is the best sports show in the Triangle. If you are an old school ACC fan, you will love their take and humor on all things ACC sports.

Nobody “gets” their market better than Joe and Joe. Between ACC Basketball and those Bunch of Jerks, the Carolina Hurricanes, and yes, even the hapless Carolina Panthers, Ovies & Giglio are dialed in with their audience and their content. Throw in a super fun rotation of supporting characters, and there’s nobody I’d rather tune into to stay caught up with the motherland from afar. Hey Joe, these guys are awesome.

Love the show but for the love of God can we have some Hornets discussion? It’s positive vibes only in Buzz City, perfect time for y’all to talk Hornets. Get my guy Nata on the show please and thank you. I mean seriously if y’all gone talk freakin panthers at least show some love to the actual pro team.

Incredibly knowledgeable about Triangle sports and really enjoy that discourse. Only negative comment is Ovies inserting topics into the agenda he can underhandedly insert his political tastes into (no one around here cares about what Aaron Rodgers is doing!!!)

Moved to the west coast and it’s the only way I can get some good conversation around triangle sports.

One of life’s simple pleasures is checking in on JO to see that he is languishing in continued mediocrity and local obscurity with the light and life of a career of what ifs slowly fading into the distance. You make me feel better about my own shortcomings.

I am out of the Raleigh market now and living under a rock apparently—so I’m just now realizing these guys no longer are on The Fan. Big mistake by Capital Broadcasting in my opinion. Will be listening on here and on YouTube from now on. Keep the whiskey flowing, boys.

The best place to go for broad based talk about triangle and N.C. sports. I wouldn’t say it’s unbiased, but it’s pretty equally biased and enjoyable. Would be an interesting endeavor if these 2 could be put on a radio.

Listened to Ovies on sports radio for almost a decade. Radio really sucked without both of these guys so started listening to their podcast. These guys do a great job of providing triangle sports insight without dumb takes or babbling on about one subject the entire show.

Fell out of listening local sports radio when I started working from home. Podcasts work much better these days, and this is my go-to for Triangle (and NC) sports. Consistently entertaining and informative, without ridiculous “hot takes” to just get a reaction from people. Really love the podcast!

The Joes are not only knowledgeable in their field, but what they say, people listen to. Their mix of humor, history, analysis, and regular round of guests make for a fun listening experience. Plus, they are two of the nicest guys in the business.

This is a must-listen for keeping up with local sports in Raleigh-Durham. I’ve lived in DC for more than 20 years, but I spent my formative days as an aspiring sports reporter reading Giglio in the N&O and hearing Ovies doing the ticker on 850 as an intern. I know it’s a vicious business, which is why I’m no longer in it, so I’m glad to see them doing doing their own thing and having intelligent, well-reasoned takes. I’m also a Chris Wilcox-era Enloe marching band alum, so I appreciate Ovies’s shoutouts to the Eagles.

The first time I commented to Giglio was not a positive interaction and I bet the same was true for Ovies, but we have all grown up. Joe & Joe stick to what they know but keep expanding what they know. For Triangle sports, culture and humorous but informed takes, this is my go-to.
